I miss when games came with manuals.
:harold:
Oh and I wanna check out that new Tetris game too
Booted up RE DS for a quick play.
First I enabled infinite health via my AR DS EZ :revwacko:
People are going nuts over AC Valhalla steelbook on ebay.
BIN is like $149aud, there's an auction that just finished at $79aud.
It's just a steelbook, no game or even an outer sleeve. But from what I can gather not many have been made and it might possibly be AU exclusive for PS4/XB1.
You can buy the steelbook with the XB1 gold edition of the game for around $250aud on ebay, but JB Hi-Fi stock the same package much cheaper (it's $139).
Unfortunately my local shop doesn't have any copies left but I can order one for an extra $6 with tracking ($2 without).
Wow. Someone trying to sell a Series X on Craigslist for 1400 dollars!!!
Fucking scalpers. Don't think there's a single one in stock in the entire city.
Trying out that new Planet Coaster. Don't think I've ever played anything so complicated :lol
I wonder if McDonald Trump is gorging food so the white house will need to be torn apart to actually remove him :pwacko:
Well I have to admit this Jedi Fallen Order is pretty good :top:
I had the same sort of feeling when I played The Outer Worlds. It's nice to play new games that have familiar elements and controls, it doesn't mean the game will be boring.
Yeah I guess there's stuff in Fallen Order like from action rpg's that I've played over the years.
The Outer Worlds is more like Fallout 3 etc but in space with different planets/locations. Also a hint of Borderlands but no annoying graphics that gave me a headache thank God.
Yeah it was good. A lot of charm I thought. Wish you could have done more with the ship though. I think they've released extra content but not sure (I think their was a blanked out planet or 2 you couldn't get to?) I'll have to look it up. Got it day 1 which was around last Christmas and beat it within 5 days so don't remember too much else about it. Got a little tedious towards the end but probably because I binged it.
Borderlands bugs me too.
Anyone here like Wheel of Time?
We're getting close to the show coming out and starting to get worried it's going to be an Emo pop MTV style piece of crap like Shannara was. Which is a shame since the books are great and makes Game of Thrones look like a pop up book.
So it looks like the battery packs from Xbone controllers will work with the series X controller (which is just an elite 1 afaik)
All you get with the console like always is a couple AA batteries with it :lol
I really want this fucking thing. Seriously. Nice at this point in my life where I can simply plunk down nearly 700 bucks on a newcomputergame system. BUT IT'S NOT IN STOCK ANYWHERE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
/tales from the zalhandle
Yeah none in stock at shops locally near me. I'm not even sure if there are any left in Melbourne shops tbh.
I can't justify spending $700 or more on a launch console
As I said I'd be more keen on getting XB1 X bnib...if I can get one under $300-350. One of those elite controllers would be nice too but they're impossible to find at a reasonable price, I have no real complaints about the standard S controller anyway
It's all scalpers BIN or crazy auctions. I actually spotted an auction before with both Series X and PS5 bundled together, first day already had heaps of bids and it was over $1k aud. But there's still 5 or 6 days of bidding left :lol
Doing our move-in walkthrough tomorrow with our new landlord. I think we get the keys tomorrow and can start moving stuff into the house tomorrow too. :D I'm so excited/nervous and I'm just SO ready to move.
God I'm so happy he gave us a good deal on this house. Having him as my former baseball coach is the best lol.
Also FF8 remaster (what the hell did they remaster?) just popped up on Gamepass too. That's all 3 psx FF's.
They're really pulling out all the stops with that service lately.
:pwacko:
I probably won't be getting any next-gen systems anytime soon. Just wait until a drop in price or they come in a bundle with a game or two. You're already paying $300 or more on a system, they can at least put in one game along with the system and controller and hook-ups.
Got a faulty HP 15 laptop (with psu) from work for $2aud. Wasn't booting and came up with a hardware error.
Basically got it because I thought there was a decent chance it had a 1TB HDD and I was right.
Plus I also thought I could possibly salvage some ram, essentially getting more than $2 value out of it.
Just messing around with it now, it seems like someone had screwed with the bios settings and it would only boot from USB. So the hardware error was only because it couldn't boot from HDD :lol
Pulled the HDD (I'll do some tests on it later) and swapped in a good 500GB spare, I'm installing win10 right now :pwacko:
Screen looks fine but this only has 8GB of ram in one slot atm. I could double that but I don't have a spare matching stick right now.
This model does seem to have some bad reviews so I'll probably just test it on and off for a while to see how it goes.
Hopefully the 1TB HDD I pulled tests ok because I'd like to use it in one of my PS3's with CFW.
Halp!
Ok here's a weird one for you guys.
I grabbed a free month of Disney+ and having a minor issue here.
When I use the app on the Xbox One the Video looks absolutely fantastic in 4k (tried a few different shows/movies) but the audio is a little screwed - umm think we've all seen this before in some fashion but the dialog is quite low so if you turn up the sound when it comes time to explosions and stuff it's 10x louder.
Ok so then I thought I'd try the app out on the tv itself. Pretty much the reverse happens when I do this - the audio seems normalized but the video quality looks bad (like 720p)
My initial thought is that the Xbox is simply more powerful than a cheap tv processor wise etc and can handle the video much better. Which would be my preferred choice but the audio thing sucks. Xbox is simply set to stereo (I even tried mono) but again bleh.
I'm gonna look at the xbox audio settings again and dig around a bit more for now.
Change the xb1 audio to 5.1 or whatever.
If the content is 4k (HDR especially) then yes the XB1 is probably processing it better than the tv, which I believe was a fairly cheap one yes?
poop?
Sure I like to poop. Do you like to poop? LET'S ALL POOP TOGETHER!!
Did you try changing xb1 audio to 5.1?
Fuck me, I hate Triple Triad.
