I dont know whats needed to upload but I have gotten a small amount of files that I could reupload depending on EP rules etc. Rar sizes and compression info would be all I'd need besides upload space.

I have about 4 TB to upload willingly, but I have never done it before. I have full romsets, including MAME, and much more. Give me a terd and I will make you a rainbow. This whole thing eats crap...
But in this country internet is all they wanted to totalatarianize. Singapore has other lovely complements like instant death penalty for alleged drug possession. When the U.S. turns into a big boarding school of death (or into North Korea) then we might chill out about something like SOPA, or else.
We already have a nice head start with NDAA.
really?! if so, then what would happen to the free internet downloading world?
free downloading is in the "end days". XD
where did you get that info?

I watched all of them at least 100 years ago, and now I don't remember anything besides the wizard's name. I remember that scene, but I have no idea what the hell was going on. :fist: I just remember them fighting.
I lol'd at it anyways because it was hilarious, specially when he looks at the screen with almost teary eyes: "for megaupload"
I remember when LotR came out, it was quite big for a while i personally found the movies a bit long winded but never the less a good story.
gypsy - i'm female and love that movie...so much that i have three different copies of the trilogy! and an old ass second print of the books/w the hobbit and silmarillion.
I heard Anonymous did a DOS attack on a bunch of sites in retaliation... Hell yeah, I love what anonymous has been doing. Fuck all the greedy bastards out there from the government to the record companies.
I found this video its kind of scary but informative.:doink:

I think if Megaupload gets out of it then they will come after those who use it.
Sons of a bitch!
Do you guys remember what happened to Mininova? They were shut down [momentarily] and now serve legal things like mixtapes, fanfics, and other relativly boring items...do you think Megaupload will have the chance [aside from all the accusations] to "system reset" itsself"?
Also I've been wondering about this while I was reading about Megauploads removal...The Pirate Bay (a p2p site known for piracy...) is and has been up for many years. TPB is one of the most popular p2p sites around or at least you've probably heard of it. So my question is--> with all the p2p sites out there and other file storing sites [multiupload/filesonic/esnips/etc.] why was Megaupload targeted? I know they *had* TONS of copyright infringement going on, but so does [practically] every other fileuploading/p2p site.
Here was a better video I found.

Well, taking it as a joke is going a bit far, but I do agree that this guy is overstating things. At the same time though, it's a worrying scenario that's worth at least thinking about. And then sitting back and discarding the worry. Know why? If they are really going to come after you for having uploaded stuff there, there's nothing you can do now anyway, except prepare for a court case. I'd say hold off on preparing until you actually get dragged to court over it.
Perhaps I take too much of a relaxed attitude, but there's nothing you can do to change it if they really are going to come after you on this.
Hells, my thrice downloaded OST of Bastion would set me back by 450.000 dollars, if they take the soundtrack as one infringement. If they take every song, it'd be about 9.9 million dollars. Somehow I doubt that SuperGiant Games was set back that much by my upload, but there you are.
I hate humanity.
I love how we keep acting like internet censorship means the end of everything where there are countries where you can be stoned to death for making software you didn't know would be used by pirates.
Friend just sent me this
That's the way it gos most of the time.^^^^
It was because they had a server in Virginia. At least, I think it was Virginia. I don't see it coming back as the owner has a warrant out for his arrest. That and well, it's apparently a "conspiracy." And having a site that had conspiracy flags waving around isn't neccesairly a good thing.
TPB is different. They're stationed in Sweden (I believe that's where they are) and don't have servers in the USA period. I feel like they were some back room deals regarding them no taking it down to be honest though.
DA GOVERNMENT CAME AND TOOK MAI BABY!!

Priceless its like murder!:flamethrower:
We must act to recover what was taken from us. Take the ashes of what they have torn down and restore it to its former capacity. So the question is 1. what site| 2. when will we begin | and also sorry if this is a bit out of the usual but who will help rebuild this. Also how to safeguard our posts.
Post Message: I am new to forms in general so sorry if this message is against some rule I do not know.
holy... 13 pages on 1 topic in 2 days (don't know if i've seen that happen on EP before, least not on a topic like this)? just saw this when checking out how the protest on wnedsday went and wow, talk about bad news.
sadly more schemes are being hatched by the Gov't to further invade our privacy even more.....this time against child pronz(which i agree should be taken care of) but now this means they're gonna be tracking everyone's site history,etc...
According to the investigation that the FBI/whoever... yes, they knew. They bragged about it. And they shared it with each other.
For anyone who wants a fairly comprehensive explanation on why the owners were arrested, this is the most balanced article I've found so far:
Initial article explaining why they went after them
Why the US was able to take down and arrest a foreign site
As far as timing goes... yes, it's probably partially as a backlash to the crash and burn of SOPA/PIPA. However, it sounds like they do have the evidence to back up the reasoning behind everything.
