hey people :wav:
I had a 40GB HDD once
NEVER AGAIN.
I once had a 10MB drive :awesome:
wow the smallest drive I've had was either 4gb or 8gb.
My uncle gave me a laptop when I was a kid with a HDD of 128MB.
Actually, a few years ago I installed the Homebrew Channel onto my Wii. But I didn't particularly care about emulators / pirated games, and only wanted it so that I could play games of all regions on it, so I just put a tiny 32MB SD card we had in an old camera into it, as I only needed a handful of MB of space anyway. The other day, though, I decided to copy a couple of emulators to that same card to play some SNES and Genesis games on the big TV with controllers. Has been a long time since I've found myself faced with not having enough space for SNES ROMs, and having to take into consideration that some of the bigger RPGs like Chrono Trigger are a few MB bigger than lots of other games.
Work my 8 today. Going up yo New Castle at 7:00 to help lay a new tile floor at another one of our facilities. Probably gonna pull an all nighter, then be back at work at 8 in the morning. Then back to the floor again at 7 tomorrow night.
Gonna be tired Friday...which will probably be my first opportunity to sleep.
I have so many hdds I honestly don't know off the top of my head how much space I have.
Oh and lol'd @ elly's story with emus on the Wii. :)
all right yard work tomorrow!!! ok so I'm not that thrilled about it hopefully it won't be so humid out if it's going to be sunny and 80.
You get a whole new look on life when..............you are fucked up on a sleeping pill that dont put you to sleep..............jus sayin
Samsung thinks I burnt nearly 1400 calories by playing disc golf and working.
I call bullshit.
Haha, 1400 calories sounds like a slight exaggeration, yeah. :'D Especially if you don't have that active a job. You do burn a surprising amount of calories just by being on your feet all day and moving around briskly, though. I dropped way back into underweight weight ranges working as a waitress, even with all of the extra food the chefs gave to me. Though stress may have been a factor there too.
My job is pretty active. According to this app(I got a fitbit to try out as soon as i finish setting it up) I usually do 7-10k steps a day. I pretty much only sit at work.
Mix that with ~2.5-3hours of disk(disc?) gold I guess it could be possible.
Supposedly did 16.11km.
Which is 52854 feet.
The disc gold field is apparently 1.7km-1.9km(high on both ends).
Still feels a bit too high, but meh. I'm constantly walking all day, even if in circles and just small paths to grab something all day.
I never really counted my job towards any level of exercise I do but I suppose it counts because I can be on my feet all day.
Today though I had cake in work that someone made and brought in.
Mix of both. Don't want to be obese and as self hating in a year or two when my niece is growing up. ^-^
Aww, sounds like a good incentive to lose weight. ^^;;; I know from talking to a couple of friends who are working to lose weight that sometimes just the fact that "it's healthy" isn't enough motivation on its own, and that sometimes you need that little something to give you a push and get you started. So it's good that you have that target of being healthier and happier in two years' time for your niece's sake to keep you driven and motivated. ^^;;; I'm lucky in that being mostly vegan plus having what I assume must be a fairly fast metabolism has meant that I've never had to deal with obesity myself (though there have been times where depression has pushed me to stop eating and I've slipped towards the other end of the spectrum), but I can definitely sympathise with the whole self-loathing thing. And I know that exercise has always helped me there. ^^;;; I always feel much, much better about myself after a long walk or playing some sports, and I've always felt like it's one of the best means of maintaining mental health as well as physical. Hopefully it'll be just as positive for you! Good luck! ^_^
@Tassadar Re: accidental cake eating, my girlfriend is one of the chefs at a Japanese and Korean restaurant here where they also make their own cakes and desserts. Usually they sell out, as they make them fresh in quite limited quantities each day, and they tend to be quite popular because they're all Japanese / Korean influenced desserts that you can't find in many other places in the city. But whatever doesn't sell she gets to bring home. And there was one day when none of the customers who came had seemed that keen on dessert for whatever reason, and we wound up with like eight generously sized portions of green tea tiramisu in our fridge that needed to be eaten. Tried not to think too hard about how many calories that was. :'D Being in close proximity to somebody who regularly makes sweet things is dangerous (and often delicious) business.
I need to post here more. I keep missing people :(
yard work is done till it gets shady out.
