Privateer was really good. I remember it being a bitch to run back when though. Might just be me. I remember beating the first game on a Snes back in the 90's too :lol

It would be nice if Privateer isn't as collision happy as the first two games but I think it's still using the same engine as 2 so I won't get my hopes up. The gameplay was much improved in 3. I only had to replay a handful of missions due to getting whacked, I don't think I had a single wingman collision, wingmen actually shoot enemies down, and tracking enemies isn't disorienting.

I'm hoping MG is correct and Privateer supports General Midi. Wing Commander 2 would constantly have hanging notes and require a restart of the synth (which then has wrong sounds :|).

no none are. it was fairly uneventful just tedious because you have to walk across the city then pick up the npc then walk all the way to the next city.

Has some scuffs, but overall appears to be better cosmetic condition than the working fat I already have.
No sign of dust at all which is really unusual for an old console like this.
Security seal is still intact.
Only game on the xmb was singstar, no game data on HDD (40GB so it appears to be the original), OFW 4.75.
No controllers but I have spares :)

Anyway that firmware is older than the CFW I have on my other fat, and that was installed years ago.

I did some reading and that particular model was bundled with some Bravia TV's over here, hence my theory.

Haven't taken any notice of PS3 CFW for ages and totally missed rebug being dead. Most of the dudes involved have retired, moved onto PS4 and one guy might've committed suicide (but that's just an unconfirmed rumour).

So I upgraded the HDD to 500GB, installed the OFW again and now I'm looking at trying to find an old version of rebug (but newer than the one I have archived from my other setup)... or try the latest version of evilnat.
Apparently the latter isn't as good for BC stuff but is "easier" for PSN games and also online (why the fuck am I considering this? :lol ).

Should just box it I guess, I have a bunch of early slims I can fuck with anyway. Too much stuff :wacko:

Apparently some of the games that have dead servers don't actually need them, from what I've read anyway.
Some of those games won't work online properly using emulation, but do work via CFW.

Think KZ2 is probably lost forever though... sad.

I've been watching episodes usually 2 at a time. Yeah Victor is basically a delusional dictator now.
There's other weird shit going on but you need to watch a heap of episodes to catch up to where I am atm.
It's a really strange season.

There's some free DLC on the store for RE ORC, Max Payne 3 and some other games.
I can't get some of the ORC and MP3 DLC (I did get a couple but most don't work), just seeing errors about needing to sign in with my account :wacko:
Used a 2 day gold trial code just in case there was some weird bug not letting me get free 360 stuff, didn't make any difference.
Next I'm shutting down the console, boot it up and try again.

What a pain in the arse :rolleyes:

no but most are unarmed and run straight to any hostile monster/npc and sometimes get bugged(get stuck on shit fall off bridges ect) and they're slow so you have to check to see if they're still following you.
