Still watching ah my goddess. In The Last Dance volume. Not sure why but somehow the character designs remind me of love hina...
Zombie-Loan
Finished Air Gear
City Hunter (Season 2)
Marathoned C: Money of Soul and Possibility Control the other day. It was alright.
Currently working on Steins;Gate. Got to about episode 13 or 14 and I was thinking "Man, it's really building up. It must be about to end." NOPE. Only halfway through. It's pretty good though. Extremely predictable, but good.
Just finished Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood. Feels good :P
Finished Cowboy Bebop
It was good, but I don't see the giant fuss that people make over it.
Finished Heaven's Lost Property and Heaven's Lost Property Forte, I've been watching shit like crazy...xD
Marathoned Usagi Drop yesterday. It kind of ends anticlimactically, so I read the manga today. I just want to say I am very disappoint that Daikichi didn't marry Kouki's mom. It just seems so obvious that they were perfect for each other.
Many manly tears were shed.
Finished Shiki
It was good, kinda mad with the ending, but that is only because it didn't finish how I wanted it too
Doraemon-very cute, but not translated well.
Mondaijitachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo.
Has awesome bunny girl and talking cats.
I'm sold.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha and Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shurabasugiru.
Seeing what there is to see, for now. Not sure if I'll see it through to the end, though.
Naruto.
It's the first time that it's aired in South Africa. South African TV channels aren't big on anime, it seems. :-/
I like the Maoyuu manga's art style way better than the show. Although I haven't actually watched an episode yet since I don't watch things while they're airing, so perhaps it's premature for me to make a judgement there.
As for myself, watched all of Cross Game and Seiken no Blacksmith, and watched the first episode of each of Natsuyuki Rendezvous, Dragon Crisis, and Mystical Archives of Dantalian. The latter three, I was trying to find one my netbook could play without slowdown, and eventually none of them succeeded. :-/
Psycho-Pass. Oh man. I was literally speechless after Episode 11. I'm not even sure how to describe this show, but "GitS meets Se7en" sounds about right for now, based on the first half of the series. Fantastic dystopian/futuristic atmosphere, awesome premise, thought-provoking ideas tackled, plus a genuinely terrifying villain. There should be more shows like this.
Man, the weekly wait for new episodes is gonna be a pain.
I dunno, I'm actually quite fond of the show's visual style. It's one of the main reasons I took interest in it.
I watched the first few episodes of Sword Art Online.
Spoiler warning:
Pretty much.
Seriously though, I'm enjoying it for its MMO aspects, since I do occasionally dabble in the genre. Otherwise it's nothing special so far, and I don't (yet) see what the hype is about. That might change though, I still have like 20 more episodes to go.
Edit: I marathoned a couple more episodes, so I'm almost near the end. Man this show is overrated as hell. It feels rushed, plus it's so full of cliches and the usual anime tropes. Not a bad watch overall, but I just don't get the hype. It's an okay-ish show at best. OH WELL BACK TO PSYCHO PASS WHICH IS STILL AMAZING.
Hellsing
Beelzebub
Finished BTOOOM. Totally underrated show, I enjoyed it more than I did Sword Art Online, for example. And yet this show has shit ratings and poor sales while SAO is undeservedly successful. Blarg. This is why we can't have nice things, etc.
Also, Ixion Saga DT. Yet another underrated show. It's generally hated by most people but I find it highly entertaining for some reason. Probably because it lampoons all the anime tropes I hate and doesn't take itself seriously at all. So yeah, haters gonna hate, but this show is a gem.
Finally found a few hours to have a look at these Inuyasha DVDs I found at the junk shop.
All four movies on two disks....considering the lack of any language select menu and the pixelated "Play-all" icon, I definitely bought a bootleg. Damn fine set for a bootleg though.
Nichijou.
A pretty ridiculous and silly anime. I swear this shit is too funny for me
Guilty Crown
Marathoning Samurai Pizza Cats. It helps me feel better.
Finished Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R1 and R2.
Marathoned Sword Art Online last night even though I only meant to watch one or two episodes. Oops? It was pretty good, although rather cliche. Best episodes are clearly the ones smack dab in the middle.
Seinfeld
City Hunter Season 2
Finished Samurai Pizza Cats. Started an anime called Aoi Bungaki. It's based on several pieces of Japanese Literature. It's disturbing, the first four are about a young man who survives a double suicide. The second story is about a bandit in the mountains that steals a demanding new wife. I recommend it though.
Watching Kaiba again. This is my most favorite anime even above S&W. Actually convinced the GF to sit down with me.
Finished Aoi Bungaki, not sure what anime is next.
To watch Blood+ or Shakugan no Shana? :thot:
Tales of the Abyss
Watched Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Seasons 1 and 2
Watched Code: Breaker as well
Uchuu Kyoudai / Space Brothers. It's actually really good. 45 episodes out so far, but I haven't seen anything saying how long it's supposed to go to. Judging by the way the story is going thus far, I don't think it'll end at 52, at least.
Maoyu. I still say the manga's art style was much better.
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. Is gud. I like it so far. Another one that doesn't look like it'll end at the end of this season.
Started watching Another online the other night, then my net died at 4 AM. Directly after I finished episode 11 out of 12. Of a mystery/horror show. Seriously?
Well I have watched quite a bit since I last posted
Highschool Dx D
Sankarea
Btooom!
and Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is fantastic. Should have been way longer than 25 eps.
Recent rumors suggest continuation through the Gun Gale Online and Underworld arcs from the novels, though I've heard it's got less of the romance plot going on.
Marathoned Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Say "I love you", and Btoom! in the past week. All pretty good.
For Btoom!, I seriously think the three main people featured at Tyrannos Japan (fat dude with the hat, tall gangly guy, and short glasses guy) are Sakamoto's team from the computer game.
I wouldn't be surprised by a SAO continuation, seeing how popular it is. Although why it's so insanely popular I don't quite get. But I believe I ranted about SAO already in a previous post so I'll cut myself short here.
Watched Psycho-Pass up to the latest available episode. This show still makes my dick rock hard. I cannot praise it enough. Seriously if you haven't seen it yet, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR.
Also, second season of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai as I found the first series to be quite enjoyable.
Someone linked this video to me, so I've been marathoning Initial D over the past few days. Currently done with first/second/third stage.
Spoiler warning:
