Baldur"s Gate Dark Alliance 2 in Extreme Mode.....Gotta love that old school RPG.
Got the BioShock 2 platinum trophy last night. The game is so good! Better than the first game in almost every way.
Not sure what game to platinum next. Uncharted 2 maybe. But I'm gonna take a break from the trophy collecting and play Fatal Frame 4. Oh yes!
Just finished American McGee's Alice about... five minutes ago. Free download pass thing when you buy Alice: Madness Returns, so I figured I might as well play the two games "in order." Yeah, I said it.
FYI, for anyone considering playing the first Alice game on their PS3.... don't. The controls did not port well at all. Helluva lot of lag for an eleven year old game (like, I would be battling four enemies, and each time the enemy and I took to strike each other at the same time, the game would "freeze," and then skip about ten frames). Also, Alice would randomly start moving as if my control stick was stuck in one direction. Which became very frustrating on certain platforming parts.
Still, been a long time since I played that game, and I think I gave my old copy of it away to someone a long time ago. :(
God of War II. Another :platinum: obtained.
Infamous 2, hero story. That is all.
Spoiler warning:
Enslaved - Odyssey to the West
It was pretty good Uncharted/Prince of Persia kind of game, the visuals and animation were pretty awesome at some points.
Heroes of mana *not very good the mana series is pretty much dead*
Infamous
GTA 4
Just beat Shadows of the Damned on Legion Hunter, got stuck on the very last boss. Now time to beat it on the other 3 difficulties.
For the First Time EVER, I beat the entire game of Sonic 2 on my Sega genesis with all the CHAOS EMERALDS! Sonic 2 is really the dick of all the Sonic games.
Grandia
Valkyrie Profile
After a decade since I played on my old PS1, I must say that I don't regret spending so much time learning how to get ePSxe 1.7 to work optimally on the highest settings or spending months playing PSX RPG's. Before I used to spend all my time playing StarCraft 2, I was a world rank #100-200 Master player but I've become so tired of newer games with all their stupid achievements and dumbed down gameplay/story/features, all being a part of marketing schemes in order to sell.
Grandia & Valkyrie Profile are now among my all-time favourite gaming experiences and while I have played over a hundred games, many whom are recognized as classics on the internet, there's not many games that I think of as highly on the PC/PS as these two, they just impressed me a lot as an overall experience and managed to touch me on an intellectual/emotional level.
Also I'd like to say what a very nice little community Emuparadise is, I'm impressed by the amount of ROMs, games & general information on the site and the PSX library is just incredible, it's sites likes these on the internet that I truly adore! Anyway regardless of what games you like, enjoy life and hurray for old school gaming! :D
I beat X-men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition on my 360 today. It was very good, a bit short, but over all it was great. I think I will go through it on hard, and try to get most if not all of the achievements. Ugh, Deadpool will be a pain in the arse on hard.
Splinter Cell + 3 bonus missions.
Finished a Nuzlocke run of Pokemon FireRed yesterday,
The wonderful end of the world
Mass Effect 2
Spoiler warning:
Game started to become a chore that's why I just went ahead and went into the last mission without everyone's loyalty. No idea if/when I'll replay it.
Silent Hill 2. The part where Pyramid Head is chasing Maria is friggin' impossible (almost) on Hard.
Dr. Ned's Zombie Island for Borderlands, pretty good piece of DLC I reckon. :)
Duke Nukem Forever. Good fun, all the way through :].
Pandora's Tower. Not outstanding, but a pretty fun game nonetheless. So yeah, I enjoyed it. I go into more detail here.
Just beat Tales of the Abyss. Best ending ever, the ending made me cry, and it takes alot to make me cry.
Great game
Resident Evil 4.
Just Beat Poke'mon Snap...Again... LOL Makes me Feel like a Kid Again
Mortal Kombat's story.
And Black Ops for like the 5th time..
Finally got around to finishing Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. I had everything done except Jiang Shi and Dracula, then quit because I was having issues killing Jiang Shi. Low on gold and kept running out of potions before I killed him, so I needed to go farming. For money. In a Castlevania game. 100% on maps, enemies, and glyphs, 75% on items. Not sure if I'll bother going for the 100% there or not. Also not sure if I'll go for a hard and/or Albus mode playthrough.
It's definitely the hardest modern Castlevania game I've played. It's terribly unforgiving if you don't avoid damage well, and money/gear doesn't come nearly as easily as the others. And there's no really overpowered weapon you pick up at any point (looking at you, Valmanway/Crissaegrim).
Some missions were a pain, but finally, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing :platinum:
ARE YOU FUKKIN TELLING ME THAT YOU ALREADY BEAT DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!!!!???!!!?!?!
What a jip!!!! It took them 12 years to make a game that was beat in a MONTH!?!?! Hardly seems worth the purchase, now, I mean I was hoping the entire game would take at least a year of continuous play before you got anywhere NEAR the end!!!! Dammit!!! these new games just plain SUCK!!!!!!!!!!
:platinum: Borderland Defender.
Finally! :ahhh:
Infamous 2, Mirrors Edge
Ocarina of Time for the 3DS, the water temple is still as annoying as I remember regardless of how many dimensions it's in.
Crysis. My total play time was just over four hours, games sure are getting short.
inFamous. :platinum:
Fucking finally. After all of my searching for blast shards, I came up eight short on my Good play through. So I used a map on my evil play through to find them all, and the map was missing two.
So I had to cross reference maps. Each map was missing two shards, in different locations.
I cried a little bit.
Then realized that I had forgotten to purchase the final upgrade for the Megawatt Hammer on my good file, and had already spent all my XP upgrading everything else. So I just spent the last forty-five minutes grinding to get experience, to make one fucking purchase, in a complete game file where almost all of the enemies are gone.
... I am never playing this game again.
