Dan Caballero? No. A prog metal band that's done a project with DT members? Yes. One of the world's most prominent and popular post rock bands? Yes, but I havent heard much stuff.
Orchid - Aesthetic Dialectic
Granted they aren't the most original hardcore band in the world, but they're fucking great at what they do...
-
Don damn you, Don... Fucking great math rock band, Damon Che's drumming is sexy. Gordian Knot was a giveaway, would've been worth 4000 points due to the associations. I don't recall you ever having mentioned them though. Mogwai, again, I've not noticed you mention. Worth big points because of the fame. What about Slint? Math post rock emo something. Polvo? Math post rock...
Mogwai - Killing All The Flies
It's worth getting to know them a little better, Slim In The Nether Regions.

I have a few random Mogwai tracks at home, but I'm getting some more now. Right now I'm listening to Yasmin The Light. this band is amazing! Their discoraghy = mine in two paycheques time...

Me listening to Pantera - Cemetary Gates :D
My fave song for Pantera :P
-
Weather Report - A Remark You Made
Classic fusion jazz. A very calm, meandering instrumental with a sax providing the lead for the most part... Good for pondering along to. I need something to ponder heavily about, right now.

Did you like, not read your warning?
I'm listening and watching an instructional video of the Stick, which is the coolest thing Ihave ever seen. www.stick.com for more info...
-
Alkaline Trio - Fatally Yours
from the good mourning cd. Its not the coolest song on the cd. I dont stick to your head afterwards, but its ok. Matt is singing so..:D
-
UNKLE - Unreal
It's meant to be rap. Sounds like pure post rock to me, but with a catchy beat, avcourse. Instrumental for the most part. DJ Shadow's dead sexy.
It's probably become apparent that I actually quite like several rappers and hip hop groups now. So yeah. I'm starting to wonder how big this post rock mixed with rap scene is.
Mr Lif - Home Of The Brave
A much more traditional type of rap, but the lyrics are excellent. I may be obligated to say so, of course, because they represent of the same political stable that I'm in... Sharp derision of the Bush administration, some deft observations on the frighteningly short attention span on foreign policy, the occasional conspiracy hinted at briefly... and it rhymes, so there.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes ~ Fire and Rain
This is one of their shortest covers...only a minute and a half I think. The speed kind of makes light of the song, but I still like it.
-
Alkaline Trio - Blue In The Face
This is the last song on their new album. beautiful song. just vocals and acoustic guitar. I think this may be my favorite song. Depends on the mood:D
-
Europe - Ninja
Yes, yes, back to the eighties.
-
Deadsy - Key To Grammercy Park
I saw the video of this on MuchMusic and instantly fell in love. It's a sweet song... =)
-
Antioch Arrow - Gotta Love The Lights
Nice. Post-emo (?) sexiness, feels disjointed in a good way. The formerly rare album it's on, Gems Of Masochism, has been rereleased recently, so as soon as I come into a little money...

Killswitch Engage - Life To Lifeless
Seeing as how I'm into metalcore, I decided to give this band I hate another chance. Still hate them. The riff is kind of catchy, but is this really supposed to be metalcore? It's drop c simple as fuck shit. It's like they said "You know what? Hardcore isn't Nu Metal enough! Lets rectify that shall we?" And the vocallist is a piece of cunt. As a grind vocallist he makes the cut, but isn't anything special, but on the clean vox, he's the weakest shit I've ever heard. Fuck Killswitch Engage...
