at least you had access to the files to install windows, i haven't managed to find a copy of windows i could borrow for years, i did own a xp install disk when i was 10 or so but didn't see its importance, it ended up being used as a coffee coaster by Dad, wish i had rescued it now.

I feel so stupid. Apparently the ram was showing at the wrong speeds because it's ddr. Dual data rate. You double the speed it gives you. I kind of want to just cry
