Witcher 2 put me off buying W3 for a while. Witcher 2 starts to drag toward the end of the game.
How's W3 for pacing?

Solid I'd say, there are parts where it lags a little in the second act, but the payout for each major story point feels eventful.
Be warned, the maps are pretty expansive so if you're compulsive and want to try and do everything, expect to sink 60 - 100 hours into it. That being said, the world feels populated and there is a lot to do, more than the collectathon that most open world games are. I'd say the best part of the games is the different witcher contracts, most of them are all very well fleshed out in my opinion.
That's good to hear.
Who else has an ex-girlfriend? :D

I looked it up when I got home and apparently the UK PC version should be English/French, but this version I have is made in the Netherlands.
The background colour of the cover isn't green either, it's blue.
No I don't think it's a UK version, pretty sure I've seen one before. They should be English & French.
This has an Aussie rating sticker slapped on it so it's a legit import from back then (the rating sticker is an old type from the 90's).
Made in the Netherlands and it's English & German languages.
10pm and it's still hot outside >.>
Guess I'll be running the ac until midnight at least.
Did you play the penis game yet? I know you were waiting for the AU release.
:bored:
Trying to work today. Not even a full hour yet and my leg is on fire :(
Yeah there is a fast travel that you're going to want to liberally abuse during the second half of the game. However, you can only fast travel from one signpost to another in the game, there are plenty of them all over the place but it is still a minor nuisance to run over to one, then fast travel one near where you need to be, then run to your final destination.
There is a quality of life mod that tweaks this slightly that allows you to fast travel freely from any spot on the map to any sign post that you've already discovered that mitigates that annoyance though.
W3 has quite a few very good quality of life mods that make small things much less of an annoyance.
There's one that will apply blade oils to your swords automatically without having to navigate through the menus and another that stops Roach (your horse) from handling like a drunk on a unicycle.
What a name for a horse.
does this look legit? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...9SIA4V26PS3014
is it worth the price shipping?
I can see
The fact that it might look legit doesn't mean much unfortunately, there are clones around that have the correct buttons and colours etc.Quote:
Note:
The item is not original controller.
It's the working quality of the actual sticks and buttons that is the issue with clones.
That being said clones work fine, they usually just have bad stick sensitivity and/or large dead zones.
I'd poke around CL and buy a used one in good shape .
Problem is that many used DS3's will have stick drift. I'm guessing that as Grouch has problems finding many things cheap used where he is this might be a tough mission.
I don't think he has fixed his truck yet. This all boils down to what's available locally.
As I said probably a tough mission for where he is.
I have some spares myself, at least one has stick drift but that is the first one I ever had. I've got one clone too, and the wired Hori.
The Hori didn't cost me much, I mean DS3 prices anyway. It doesn't have motion sensors or rumble though, but it does have rapid fire options and a target tracking button underneath.
The layout and shape is also much better for me (more like Xbox).
I have 2x DS4 controllers but they aren't fully functional on PS3 afaik. Never bothered verifying that.
Mad Catz DS3 options are apparently no good but I wouldn't know myself.
There are some other non Sony options but they're more expensive...It's nearly impossible to find genuine DS3 brand new old stock now.
Was just looking at some controllers and noticed this
