Well at that point they were just animating the fandiscs. Fandiscs are always terrible. Except when they aren't.

Spoiler: They normally aren't when they're an excuse for characters to wear gradually fewer and fewer clothes.

In summation, this happened at some point.

Pheonix Wright is pretty cool actually, and Miles Edgeworth is normalesque, but Dick Gumshoe? worse than the guy on FX named "Richard Head"
