Quick fix is a match Stick and a can of compressed air. power down the laptop Put the matchstick so it stops the fan moving too much then take the compressed air and holding it upright blow a few short blasts into the Vents that should sort it out for a good while, since I assume you CBF to open it and clean it proper :P

Was about to open it just now, then realised how much I couldn't be bothered. Case never goes back on properly.

It should be known though that I never switch this off, I just close the lid which puts it into sleep. :whistle:

I don't have the slightest clue for laptops but, you're better off only turning a desktop off on a per need basis.

The limiter kicked in and killed it though. It still had 2k RPM till it red-lined.
