You have a point - I spend a lot of time grinding as well whether it's needed or not. I think the original came with a music disc for use with a Sega CD attachment - replaced all the ingame music with cd-quality. I could be wrong on that but I thought that's what I remembered hearing.Quote:

I've never actually replaced a laser on a slim PS2, just done PS2 fat repairs. Why would you need a soldering iron?
EDIT: Nevermind, I assume it's to remove the anti-static solder point on the laser's ribbon cable. Funny thing is the lasers that I end up ordering never seem to have that in place
I really need to get myself a small soldering iron and learn how to use it properly. Would be nice to mod/repair my own stuff instead of paying other people to do it.
