Just giving this a bump to remind anybody who may have forgotten. Soft modding your Wii may be significantly more difficult tomorrow. I'm sure it'll still be perfectly doable, but hunting down whatever random fleet of IOS files you may need might be nightmare inducing :wacko:

Since the Wii is pretty much a dead console by now, I guess I shall look into making it homebrew enabled.

Had my Wii done for ages though was still buying some games, last one was the later Zelda game with the golden Wii Mote
How are you dealing with the recent action Nintendo decided to take and stop support on Mario Kart Wii?
I know its because the Wii U version was released but very "XP-ish" of Nintendo no? Why not let us enjoy the game and console of our choice?
