I was commenting on what MoloMowChow said about them not being released, I have no reason to bump this :P
I actually said in a post before that, that they are not in a playable state yet.
Though it shouldn't be too long for DS emulation to get atlest half the speed and that should be good enough for some none action games like Another Code/Trace Memory
Ah, for whatever reason I didnt connect the two together in my head, still not a bad idea to keep it active heh
you know that the new smartphones eg. nokia 6600, n-gage,7610 etc. have their own OS called "symbian"
i think i'd like that on my laptop cause it'd be interesting to mess about with it.
also if i can get my laptop to even BOOT of Symbian then i can do basic stuff like play mp3s, post on EP, and play vids, yadda yadda yadda.....
is this possible
i'm thinkin about problems with screen res.
AND instead of symbian i could even try to look for windows mobile 5.0 (PDAs use this)
any thoughts?
well the Gc does play commercial i got animal crossing and True Crime to work on my Dolphin Emulator
full speed ? or apx 2 fpsQuote:

No one said that no commercial games run just that it doesn't run at a well playable speed in general (There are actually a very small amount of games that do run full speed)

Was going to post this when it was released, but the forums were down. DeSmuME v5.0 is out now, and has sound and save states.
Oh, and it turns out iDeaS wasn't dead afterall, after a very long period of inactivity, here's the latest release:

when will people learn just cause a system has been around for a while doesnt always mean its emulated there's a ton of code that goes into these things then years of tweaking and getting things right the simpler the system the less time you have to wait for a good emulator so as of right now all the newer systems have quite a while left before we get a really good emulator.
im running Animal Cross on Dolphin (latest version) at 10~15FPS... playable? no!
but with a litle bit better pc I can run in full speed.
Shame the Jap N64 version is jap, that plays full speed through PJ64 and maybe 1964 aswell
Dolphin if I remember has lots of errors in emulating animal crossing aswell, or it did with my G-force FX card
Maybe the new version of DeSmuME can emulate the DS version... I own the game anyway so wouldn't even bother myself
The GC version is the best version at the moment, basicly you can do more in that version even though the DS version has the best visual effects it doesn't have as much that you can do in the game
Dunno if it's mentioned but there is a ps2 emulator that plays commercial games, I use it to test my mods. It's the pcsx2 it really needs quite a power pc to run smoothly but my pc can run it decently bit on the slow side but fairly fast.
