PS2 launched in the US around $300 dollars, and then launched in the UK for �300 - that's about $600. If the PS3 is gonna be $400, it will be �400 over here. You do the math and figure that the UK sucks balls.
Maybe that's where they make up the cash they lose :P
How much of the research did Sony have to pay, seeing as they are using an IBM developed processor and an nvidia developed GPU. What development cost do you speak of?Quote:

i...think i'm gonna stick to the revo and 360 if they both come up under 400 bucks. switching from micro to sony is something new to me since i've been a sony junky since the psx and well, i'm sure i can count on the revo to be an awesome system. i've always had nintendo systems soo....and sega making a come back? god no. they'd get buried FAST.

i'm not rich but i do have time to save up also. but i don't want or need 3 of'em. just one for me and my nephew to have fun in, multiplayer wise, and the other will be totally mine :)
Edit: GG, i don't like waiting games so i already made the decision of gettin the revo. i'm getting it in the hopes that it'll have the same kinds of kid friendly games that there are in other nintendo systems cuz my nephew is only 7.

The DC only really became popular after it died, which is sickening really. Had the people who snatched it up after it died actually bought the system when it mattered, the DC would've had a longer life then it did.
sarcasm isn't lost with me lol its just, hard to tell with you sometimes :( i'm greatful i bought a DC when it did matter, and i still have my DC :)
