I had to shave off my beard etc because most of it was singed. One eyebrow has a little less hair than the other now
:lou: Short story or long?
Kinda.
I was doing the old diesel trick to help burn a large pile of green branches. Everything was cool until poof, a large lot of it went up all at once and I happened to be downwind.
Closed my eyes in time so nothing serious.
I can still smell burnt hair though even after doing a full shave to clean up. I think I must've singed some nose hairs :lol
Normally I would've made a longer line of diesel to the pile, but this stuff was on the side of the road so not much room. I was just too close to the inferno
Mafia Trilogy :WOW:
I had no idea this was coming.
I might preorder this for Xbox One :thot:
Releases like this usually don't get reduced that much even after 1 year. Certainly not sets like this.
And if I wait like a year it will probably end up harder to find locally. Importing attracts another 10% tax plus whatever shipping.
From what I've read there isn't a physical US release, just Asia and EU (also AU/NZ).
Mafia 1 remake physical you can get on its own but I'm not sure if you can get II remastered physical. III apparently all the DLC will be bundled in the store for free if you already own the base game (digital and physical).
An example of an XB1 set that you can't get cheap here is DS trilogy. Worked out cheaper me buying 2&3 complete versions individually and also 1 remastered.
Bioshock trilogy is one you can get fairly cheap now but that's unusual.
There is a preorder DLC for Mafia 1.
Mafia 1 individual release is bloody expensive though :lol Which is another reason why I've just gone ahead and ordered the trilogy.
Not cheap ($90aud) but whatever, I'm not in a habit of doing this at all. In fact I've never pre'd anything before  Day 1 purchase in store is the closest I've done (Fallout 4 was the last time iirc).
Also ordered RE3, some other games and also some blu-ray stuff :pwacko:
I won't post in relevant purchase threads until stuff arrives (like usual).
I still need to get RE3 as well. Was around 35/40% off not long ago but was a little strapped at the time. I mostly go digital now and seems to be more savings along with the Xbox subscriptions. Sounds like everything will carry over to the new system too so that's a plus.
Also feel like starting up a new Baldurs Gate since you mentioned it a couple days ago :lol
Yeah I haven't seen Baldur's Gate enhanced physical cheap yet, I only asked about it 'cos I thought there was a chance you might've looked at it.
There was something else I saw months ago in EB....was it Neverwinter or something like that? :thot:
Yes everything is supposed to carry over to next gen, all current gen titles and also the whole BC library.
Hopefully when the new console is released they will start adding more BC titles but it's possible they might end up going the way Sony and ninty have (porting stuff and labelling them remasters regardless of how much or little work has been done).
I'm hoping Mafia 1 is going to be good though. The whole game was apparently rebuilt which is why I call it a remake.
Win 10 running like a sack of shit after the latest updates. Browsers freezing, can't open folders or start menu. Tried disabling Sysmain and I've uninstalled updates to see if it changes anything.
I'm up to date and it's running ok here
:revwacko:
I ended up doing a clean install to v2004. Then the action centre icon in the bottom right wouldn't work. I had to re-register action centre using Windows PowerShell (Admin).
Made a backup to an external HDD. Everything seems okay... for now. :dread:
Just seen this:

Super Mario All Stars Free to Play Now with Nintendo Switch Online + Super Mario 35 from 1st October @ Nintendo eShop

Nintendo confirms Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy remasters for Nintendo Switch
But trilogy pack only on sale until March.
Quote:
Nintendo has confirmed its highly-anticipated trilogy of classic Super Mario game remasters headed to Nintendo Switch later this month. Dubbed as Super Mario 3D All-Stars, the collection will contain Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. It arrives on 18th September.
A limited number of physical copies will be made, while the digital version will only be sold on the Switch eShop until the end of March 2021. Bizarre.
The triple pack will see each game "optimised" for Nintendo Switch. The trio will feature higher resolutions and "smoother gameplay performance", Nintendo has said, as well as a music player mode to listen to tunes from the three games.
As expected, these are not radical redesigns or remakes of the original games. Also as expected, unfortunately there's no sign of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Oh, and when playing Galaxy's Co-Star mode, you will need separate Joy-Cons to use their pointer functionality. Worth noting for those with a Nintendo Switch Lite.
Doesn't look like they've bothered doing anything, just throw three old games on one cart and charge £49.99.
Now if they'd been remastered, I might have grabbed a copy. But the limited run will see copies on eBay at stupid prices.
I'm still personally going to grab it, cause I haven't played any of those games to completion and...I really want it. They do have a 16:9 aspect ratio though, with updated graphics for the most part. Just not ZOMG SOOPER HD GRAFICS!
Beavis and Butt-Head are looking a bit past it now...
Spoiler warning:
Graphics are just a bit of a bump in resolution because of more powerful hardware as I understand it. Like most of the shit out there that gets a rerelease, and expecting everyone to shell out for the millionth time for the same old games. Probably doesn't even come close to what you can achieve in emulation most like.
It would have been nice if those 3 mario games in the collection were remastered. I mean they updated the 2D graphics for Super Mario All Stars on the SNES. Also, I think more 3D mario games in the collection would have been nice, why not Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well? I get the cart can only hold so much info, but still.
As for seeing what a pain in the ass Windows 10 is, I'll hold off even longer on Win10.
It should include Mario Bros. Atari 2600 version remastered.
Mario 64 clearly doesn't have 16:9 in the trailer. I'm fairly certain both Sunshine and Galaxy already supported both 4:3 and 16x9, it's a downgrade if 4:3 is removed...
Lazy ports are obviously lazy, seeing as they can't ever be bothered to change the system specific HUD buttons you can see on the trailer.
I preordered the physical game, cause it cost me nothing to do so now. If the game pre-sells-out and increases in value before I even buy the game I may keep the preorder.
I'm shocked and appalled that these are lazy ports. Since when did ninty start doing such obvious cash grabs? sadface.gif
As for the new Mario collection, I think they should have at least given them the same treatment as Zelda:Links Awakening.
