Ok, my computer keep crashing every now and then showing blue screen and all. Then I won't be allowed inside Windows because of DISK READ FAILURE during POST. Pop in the XP disc and go through the repair console and I'm let inside again. That probably means the MBR is damaged by the HDD doing a faulty disc write. Which in turn could mean that the HDD is going to explode on me soon enough, right? ;O
Unless of course it's a corrupt partition. Which means you'll need to delete the partition and create a new one.
Please correct me. I'm not an expert at all. :P
Well, I dunno which to do. I'm probably gonna be able to get my hands on a relatively new disc in a week or two. Of course, I'm gonna format either way but do you think it's more likely to be a partition problem than a faulty disc? And FYI, I've ran a quick check using Seagate's HDD health tools and it reports the HDD as working correctly.
