Ahhh, I did that once when mine broke, it's insane. Afterwards I discovered XP has a on-screen mouse based keyboard. You just need to find the option (I forget where it is) and flip it on. Then any letter is just 1 click :)

I get the feeling that we're kinda letting this die. Am I rajt?

Start > Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Onscreen Keyboard (under where it says See Also).
