The "specific design element" that causes the issue would be cheap manufacturing. Just like cheap cars that have misaligned panels/loose interior parts.

Yeah, it looks okay. As a collectible to keep sealed maybe. Even then it's probably not going to be valued much above retail for a long time, if ever. Anyone can spray a console gold and put a Triforce on it. For the price of it they could've done something a bit more creative. Maybe incorporate the master sword or something. I could definitely paint something much cooler than that on my 3DS if I wanted. Plus it'd be a one-of-a-kind.
