Wormed - Ectoplasmic Iconosphera
Whatever the fuck this song is about, it rules. It's very deep and heavy, but it's too bad the guitars, bass, and vox sound very low muffled compared to the drums. I think they do that on purpose to create atmosphere rather than noisy music, that's what this band is mostly about really. Go Spain.
I'll check out that band tonight.
Dream Theater - Fatal Tragedy
The song that got me into them. And boy was it immediate...
Royce 5'9" - Hip-Hop.
My favorite rapper. Ever. If he didn't have that falling out with Em, he would doing big things right now.
Usurper - Kill For Metal
A really good song, black/thrash-stuff. So far, their newest album is not nearly as good as "Twilight Dominion". The new vocalist ain't that bad though...
Gah, they need to stop adding the word "metal" in metal songs! It feels so poser-ish nowadays. It's been done for more than 25 years! "Guardians of Metal"(Valhalla), "Metal Militia"(Metallica), endless Manowar songtitles... What I would like to say to these bands is: Okay, we know you're metal, now shut the fuck up and play!
Metallica - Cliff Burton's bass solo
From an old-ass bootleg. Cliff owns all of Metallica's other bassplayers. Fuck even Townsend, Cliff rules.
Blind Guardian - Another Holy War
They have to be the best power metal band. The vocals go really well with the song. Sweetass solo that owns most solos nowadays. Favourite part of the song
"Why am I born
will I fail to rise again
another crucifixion for
another holy war
can't stop what's going on "
Seconded. Excellent taste. Imaginations From the Other Side is BG's best album. ;)
Moonsorrow - Jumalten Kaupunki incl. Tuhatvuotinen Perint
Uhh, yeah. Copy/paste job. I've no clue what that means. :P
The music is fucking impressive. Extremely mood-setting and intense. Having Finntroll's keyboardist is a plus, as they're the only band that creatively use the instrument. Listen to the melody running through the length of the track. Atmospheric viking metal at its best. I should look up more of their stuff.
The DIllinger Escape Plan - The Mullet Burden
Someone told me they went to a show, and he dedicated it to '87 James Hetfield. Great song...
The Beatles - Yesterday
Uh, yea. I really like this song. If I turn emo or something, somebody gouge out my eye or something please. But this song is simply amazing.
Yes, yes. Guys are convinced of the emasculation involved with liking emo. :-/Quote:

*Doubts Smith's knowledge of what emo is.
Liquid Tension Experiment - Universal Mind
Felt like listening to some extreme wankery. Some really cool riffs though...
Exhumed - Open The Abcess
Exhumed is without a doubt the best grindcore-band ever, followed by Impaled. They use some nice sound-effects in this track, sounds like a chainsaw sawing a human body. Delicous.
Dream Theater - Beyond This Life
Live At Budokan! 20mins of an awesome song, with extended wankery? Yes please.
I recognize that that song is not emo, as it stands today. Far from it, infact. But it is an emotional song, so I can see some correlation between the two. Just kill me if I start listing to true emo songs, ok?Quote:

Nirvana - Sappy
Much better.
