Hmm, so who watched the draw yesterday? If the blues can do well against "THAT TEAM" that demolished mu, they will likely to face the boss, barca. :)
-
I watched it. And I always loved Breitner.

Chelsea's youth team recorded a dominant 2-1 performance over Manchester United's yesterday. Why do I care about this? Islam Feruz, Scottish wonder kid extraordinaire, played a bit of a blinder and scored a great goal in the second half. ^^;;; Still a bit bummed that he left Celtic without ever playing for them, being that Celtic are basically the only reason he and his family were granted asylum in Scotland when he was a kid, but it's good to see him developing well. A national call up can't be far away! :3

Terrible situation at White Hart Lane yesterday where the FA Cup clash between Tottenham and Bolton was called off 5 minutes before half time as Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch and stopped breathing. Medics swarmed on to perform the kiss of life and attempts to resuscitate continued to the local hospital.
Massive outpouring of goodwill on Twitter as you'd expect with the occasional spastic trying to make a name for themselves with 'jokes' but really it was a tragic affair, players on the pitch looked visibly distraught and the referee made the right call to abandon the match.
Really hope Muamba pulls through - he's currently in a critical condition as he fights for his life. Poor lad is only 23 years old too, with a young family, terrible situation and my prayers are with him.
Really puts the game, which some of us (me) take too seriously at times...it really shows you that there are far more important things in life doesn't it?

Poor lad. I remembered about Miklos Feher, hope he gets through this with the less damage possible. ):
-
I remember talking here about what happened to Foe years ago. Feher, Puerta, Jarque... you can never get used to it.
It's really tragic, I really hope that, somehow, he can recover.
-
I don't know whether it's the increased coverage but these awful things seem to be happening with increasing prevalence.
The only good to come of this is the way the medical staff, fans, players and coaches handled themselves in a dignified manner. It's the least you'd expect, but when fans tend to get a lot of bad press it was all the more moving to hear both home and away chanting the lads name.

Survive and advance.
@Muamba thing: Glad he's okay.
-
He's not out of the woods yet but there's positive signs with him recognising friends and family, being able to speak and move his arms and legs. Prognosis is difficult at this early stage apparently, but I think anyone with even a passing interest in football will be pleased with his strength in recovery thus far.

I can see that Torres have a better chemistry with Chelsea right now.

Haha that was great.
Also, survive and advance. >_>

Pretty good first leg of the quarters. If only Milan had a lead...
-
One of the better 0-0s I've seen in a while. Some good chances at both ends, and either side could have won it. ^_^ A shame Milan didn't come away with a lead indeed, though, as it would have made the second leg more interesting. They'll have a go at it in the second leg no doubt, but as is, I just don't see Barca not winning at the Camp Nou.
-
All I can say, Barca ruling while Milan defending.
