I wish, then maybe I wouldn't be a depressed mess lol.
No, sadly we had to bury my Grandma on Saturday...Really hard to be without her in my life right now. At least my fiancee could be there with me.

Only in development atm. Same dev also created this among other things.
Something else still needed here: replacement screen...
that's cool kinda reminds me of a game gear and game axe color. I remember seeing a few years ago now that tiger electronics were going to bring back dome of it's classic handheld games. I don't know if anything came out of it though i don't recall seeing any news about it since.
I bought a Game.com back when it was clearly dying/dead. It's the most trash handheld I have, it's really not worth spending too much interest in. It's only interesting because it's rare and weird.
... I was just going to type that people would only want a flash cart for Castlevania, but I just looked up some prices... Of course they're kinda nuts. IIRC I bought everything brand new, the system with 5 games for $30 shipped, and Resident Evil 2 for another $20 shipped.
I guess this here is where that Castlevania dump came from:

Found a PS1 dual analog controller :)
SCPH-1180
Blaze Xplorer 64 - orange label CiB :)
Just installed 12v psu into model 1 Saturn.
Works fine now :)
Booted up the Flash demo disc I got recently. Controller I got seems ok too (grey so matches console).
Might try Grandia JPN that I have here... not to seriously play though as I don't understand Japanese.
Next I need to install phantom chip :muhaha:
Don't have any ram/rom carts.
Oh yeah, I've got this hooked up to my huge Trinitron CRT via s-video ;)
Installed phantom universal after dinner. Only 1 wire to solder to the chip for 5v power, my new psu has spare power headers so didn't need to solder that end.
Region patched RE USA image to JPN, used a crappy CMC disc for the burn and it works fine :pwacko:
sweet
RE2 is near impossible to find cheap now.
Had my service "upgraded" today. They had to fiddle to get it connected at all and it's around half the speed I was supposed to get. The company has been pestered and hopefully they'll get around to fixing it, but at least I've got service in the meantime .
I'm now unable to port forward as well -_-.
I'm disappointed I opened up the "good games" I got, cause they're clearly worth a chunk of change now, and no fun was had. But I had to sate my curiosity, it's why I bought the system. My Fighters Megamix is still sealed, after a couple games I knew it wasn't worth opening :lol
Public holiday so not working today.
Last time I had a day off I fixed up and modded my Saturn.
Now I've pulled apart the SCPH-1180 dual analog controller I got. Right toggle was loose, inside it's just the plastic shaft that is broken the actual toggle mechanism isn't loose.
Going to see if I can tack the small broken piece back on and glue a small sleeve around it for strength.
Alternatively I can look through my junk controller parts bin to see what plastic toggles pair I can substitute... not preferred or ideal as the toggles won't be original and will end up being the wrong grey or even black colour. Plus they won't have the correct looking concave tops. I wonder if Xbox 360 or PS4 toggles would fit the shaft? :thot:
I suspect that controller has the standard connector, cause Sony's other analogs are all just the industry standard. So you should be able to fit anything on it, but it won't look right. And clearly you can't find replacements for a non-popular controller, it was hard to find normal PS2 stick replacements a couple years ago.
I did some reading and the pcb for the toggles is different. Not even sure that can be swapped over for a DS type.
It might be possible to solder in some replacement DS toggles though... again, this leads to butchered setup really.
I'll leave all that until after I try a repair of physical damage and test that right toggle, the left still works perfect atm.
An interesting thing is these dual analogs have support for 1 rumble motor (left side).
The Japanese model has the motor while the US and EU models have the motor removed but all circuitry is still there. A motor can be dropped into this one I have but I'd need to pull it from a donor first (I probably have what I need here in the parts bin). Probably won't do it though :lol
I'm just looking at a negcon that needs repair now :nerd:
Nice deal if you're interested. You'd end up spending about the same on individual enclosures, you'll get additional features if interested, and it's of decent quality. I'd suggest that you don't update DSM if performance is acceptable and you don't plan on exposing it to the internet. I made the mistake of updating my DS211 and disk performance got halved (best case). It seems like Synology doesn't put much consideration into optimizing DSM for the older units D:.
