Final Fantasy... I just can't deal with the turn based combat, drove me crazy... decided they weren't worth the time. Though I did play one that I liked for the ps2 but I dont recall which one.

Final fantasy series for rpg gamer, silent hill series (maybe first 3) for horror gamer
the FIFA series, my friends are so hyped about these games every year though i think they're always the same
CoD series for obvious reasons. Also not a big fan of sports games. (why play a video game of the sport when you can actually play the sport for real?)
When it comes to games I love but not too many of my friends it's the Skate series, I still play them all on a regular basis but don't have too many friends intoo that franchise, it's all usually Call of Duty for them.

Assassin's Creed. The exploration is fun and the concepts are cool, but the combat feels kind of clunky and I wish it focussed more on actual assassinations instead of exploration.
I never got into Call of Duty at all. It seems like everyone plays it, but I just suck at it and don't really like it at all. Oh well, I would rather play skyrim anyway.

Borderlands, Assassins Creed, Final Fantasy and etc... I don't know why, but I don't seem to be "maturing" into games like that until later in life. I remember not getting what's up with the Metal Gear series at all, but then all of a sudden, I loved and played through all of them except the PSP releases. :o

As for the topic, I remember Megaman as pretty cool when I was a kid but when I bought that disc for the Gamecube (the one with 10 different classic MM games on it) I don't know. I played what I thought was my favorite for a bit and then just dropped it and went back to Team Fortress 2. I guess I just don't have the patience or time for platformers nowadays? I dunno.
