I discovered three old demo discs of the German magazine Playzone:
SLED-02078
Playzone CD Vol.8
SLED-02592
Playzone CD Vol. 16
SLED-2832
Playzone vol. 19
hi,
thanks for the additional serials of the demo's ill pass them on :),
to my knowledge the usa ps2 list is pretty much complete till almost the end of the year (including titles yet to be released) i think he used that site you posted to get them not exactly sure but thanks :)
Actually I misread something, and thought we were still in search of US-numbers, instead of PAL. I just did a search of my own, and now I realize why you'd go search for them in stores. For some reason, they aren't listed at the offical sites along with the game information, unlike the site for America. Not at the one for Europe, nor at the Australian site.
yea it makes getting the pal codes a little bit more difficult .. and with him living in usa u can imagine he dont get too see many of them ... id like to go to store and jot down the numbers but i can just imagine the funny looks the shop clerks would give me lol probably think i was casing the joint game by game to rob it lol
Maybe it's possible to get them from an online shop. I noticed a US-Yahoo store listing the numbers, so maybe there's a shop somewhere doing the same in PAL regions.
not a bad idea ill have to havea look at amazon and the like ... i suppose i could also attempt to get the covers as the serial is listed there as well
allright the renamer is finnaly done and finised beta testing
the scanner supports the 2 most common archives RAR , 7Z it also supports uncompressed images the image types it supports are ISO ,CDI , CCD , IMG ,SUB , BIN ,CUE
if the file is in archived it will rename the rar volume with the name , languages , serial if the image is uncompressed it will rename the image , cue sheets etc (also modifies the targets on cue's etc so they will still work) and place in a folder with the full name
known errors happen with NRG , MDS and files that are currently being uploaded
if the renamer fails to rename an archive / img that meens that the serial is most likely not in the database in which case please do submit the game name , serial (and possible language) so we can update it :) were probably going to be updating the DB file monthly so ill keep u posted with that also it will only add the language if its known (all usa games come up [U] all jap come up [J] but pal games that have unconfirmed multi languages will simply be marked as [PAL] )
any bugs / problems will be displayed in the error log please post them to me should u find any glitches also the renamer will create a log of all the games you do have and all the games you dont have from the database file (handy for creating a trade list with) and it also creates a missing file which shows all games in the database you dont have
hope this helps a lot of you :)
PS1 Renamer V1.0
*edited* ok ive made a basic web site up as well regarding this program where you will be able to get addition database updates and also will have a known issues section for anything the program has difficulties with
so please do get in contact with me regarding anything with this renamer so i can update the site accordingly :)
hi topaz
i'm pretty sure there are no serials with same digits in S?PS-91* section
for instance you'll never find
SLPS-91226...91232
or
SLPS-91238...91246
because SCPS with same codes exist
and
good luck to you guys
thanks were gonna need the luck its all about how much people are willing to help now :)Quote:

when we found that we were about to chuck in the whole project thinking certian games did share p-codes ... but we guessed one of them had to be a patched version as we couldnt confirm the legitamy of either title without someone having the orriginal version to confirm it
hopefully more people will start submitting new serials they find when they use the re namer :)
Whas there an Official Playstation Magazine Demo containing Resident Evil 2 in playable form? If so which volume was it? Does anyone have that demo for trade? Sorry for offtopic, I just had to ask:D!
" cough Bioflames member cough " Thread by VirusPunk " Timer for RE2 Trial edition." :fdance:

yes it is up to date the orriginal version of myst doesnt seem to be in there though allthough it is in the charity help compilation [SLES-00218] which if im not mistaken is its orriginal p-code ... but ill get on to him and say he needs to add the orriginal version unless its p-code is different to the help release?
SLED - 01735 : Silent Hill (Regular) [Demo Disc] [PAL]
It was recently put on the tracker here.
I was able to find confirmation that this is the Regular and not the Trade Demo from 2 sources:
Wikipedia states:
"The European versions [of Metal Gear Solid] included a playable demo of Silent Hill."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid (scroll to the bottom of the page)
And this guy's trade list states:
"metal gear solid [3CDs][SLES-01506~11506~SLED-01735][konami](02.1999)[pal][french] ~ 559,9mb (587'180'032 bytes) & 582,2mb (610'580'480 bytes) & 90,5mb (94'918'656 bytes)"
http://home.graffiti.net/marmotte:gr...p/PSX_list.txt (Scroll to the middle of the page, under "M" )
cool thanks for that passed it on and also gonna give that list a look over to see if theres any others there were missing :)

EDIT - Real Myst is the best version of myst ever,
fully 3d plus you can walk around, you can acturally explore every nook and
cranny of myst in this version.
Pyst is also a good version.
i would say ur a fanactic when it comes to myst, just to let ya know i added a couple to ur list.Quote:

Think I found a misspelling.
SLPS-03301 : Babapapa - The Mumins [Kids Station Controller Set] [J]
But if you check the title screen you see Barbapapa with an "R"
So it should be SLPS-03301 : Barbapapa - The Mumins [Kids Station Controller Set] [J]
The same goes for SLPS-03302 : Babapapa - The Mumins [J], it should be SLPS-03302 : Barbapapa - The Mumins [J]
thanks for those passed them all along (and now for a shameless plug v1.03 for the renamer is out with new additions / corrections to the db these ones havent been added yet)
I uploaded a game into the ysi thread, and i couldnt find it on the list
its
SuperStar Dance Club #1 Hits!!
PAL
SLES 04088
The staff or at least some of the staff have decided that this thread does not really need to be stuck.

I happen to have obtained 1 or 2 of those ZZZ_Unknown Japanese Title's
on the master list in my last trip to KanaZawa, now my transulation look really bad, so i heard there was a guy (Taylor or something) who can read Japanese
Really well, mabye if he could look at a pic of the front case he could help
fill in at least 1 of those ZZZ Thingys But i dont have a camera or scanner,
but i can get my friend to help out there so if someone could hook me up with him and ill get the pics ready then hey presto, Tulips.
Also i belive a few of the Jap titles on the list to be wrongly transulated.
Mabye he can help there to.
cool that would be great thanks xena :) as always any help is appreciated im not sure of the translations at all as im not really a jap gamer ... i hate playing anything i cant read lol
Thinking of Japanese gamers, you have tried dropping this topic in Hongfire right? There are a lot of people that are fluent in Japanese and collect Japanese games there ;)
Is Hongfire even still around? As in, their tracker and all that?
I think they have a tracker again, but they have a bunch of useless rules all over everything. Like I pmed a mod there and asked if I could post demos, the answer was no :eyeball: The place is a shadow of it's former self. But there will always be Japanese gamers hanging out there cause of the hentai
Yeah, all of these rules really make it a drag to be there, compared to how it was before. Don't suppose they still allow PSX and PS2 games on their tracker, do they?
I think they're still allowed, but it's only Japanese games that will never be released here, or something stupid like that.
ive never even heard of the place before lol (prepares to get flamed for being a noob lol)
i dont get around much lol i normally just stick with the places i know :P and if its only jap stuff there it could explain why i never really came across it lol
If its full of hentai fanatics Im suprised i never came across it. :whistle:Quote:
