If I had more room I'd like to reorganize my game room. I'm sure you've probably seen that pic online that shows a bunch of consoles behind glass cases in a shelf with a TV on top. That would be nice to have.

I have most of my games & consoles packed away in boxes of various types.
Quite a few are large plastic storage tubs with lid and handles but also reinforced cardboard storage boxes plus some "liberated" milk crates (old school lol).
I have heaps of stuff. One entire room of my house is getting close to full now, sometimes to dig out certain things I need to move heaps of stacked boxes/tubs :lol
I have a 32" Sony Trinitron crt tv as well, those things aren't small :pwacko:
I don't just have gaming stuff though... also some Star Wars related toys, a few large boxes of vintage Lego and Meccano. A very small collection of loose Matchbox, Hot Wheels vehicles but also some Dinky military. Most of those vehicles, some of the Star Wars stuff and a few other items I have in the kitchen. Inside wall mounted shelves (2) with glass sliding panels (4).
Speaking of getting old, I sometimes have to set the camera movement to a slower speed otherwise I get dizzy.
I wonder what happened to the OP. He hasn't posted anything since May of 2019. Hopefully he's doing fine.
Speaking of getting old, i turned 36 this year.
That's... not really old. Heck, it's still relatively young.
I am 32 now, turning 33 in July. I don't feel old. I feel fine actually. The only thing I realized I can't do anymore, is drink like I did when I was in my late teens, early 20's. Especially beer. Liquor I still do fine with. But even in general. I just can't do it like I did then. Which in the long run, probably a good thing lol.
One of the things I've noticed is horrible heartburn from pizza, tacos etc. Just in the last year or so. 43 now over here.
I sure as hell can't drink like I used to. Back when I joined EP I was always loaded :lol
I can relate. No big deal with heartburn, but I can eat almost nothing that is fried, or else stomachaches come visit me. I also have to be careful with chocolate, even if sometimes it is very hard.
Yaaaay, hurt my rotator cuff. Now I'm using my right arm like a t-rex, cause simply lifting my arm away from my body causes immediate pain.
Yaay to being over 40.
Can I join the club? For some reason, my lower back's been hurting for a few days. It's getting better now, but last week I had troubles getting up after sitting or laying down because of strong pains in my lower back. I'm only in my early thirties.
Mid 30's here myself, and I can say that I've been getting really tired of modern forms of online "social" interaction and have been pining for some of the older community interactions. So I decided to make an account here and see where it takes me :-)
So maybe lets put that one down to an advantage of getting older... an appreciation and experience of things which might not be considered contemporary any more.
Welcome from a fellow Victorian :) I'm at least 10 years older than you.
There isn't much activity in the forums here now compared to years ago. Most activity is on discord, but yeah I dislike the social media stuff myself and avoid it like the plague.
We have a general hang out (chat) thread here in the forums, it can change when posts get to like 4000 or so but the current thread has been used for ages now:

If you have any questions feel free to ask, even via PM ;)
Mmmm, it's like that in many places as far as I can tell. Web forums are certainly out of favour for most. Which is a shame, as I do like the longer-form writing style it affords.
Discord I've tried multiple times... Even if I put the awful UI and awfully high resource usage aside, it turned out to be the straw which broke the camels back as far as too many chat platforms go.
But that's OK. I'm sure the people here will be more than engaging. I'll keep poking around and jump in when I have something worthwhile to contribute :-)
To think we were all little piratesdc
Due to quantum decoherence parallel universes decouple and are no longer chronologically synced, when we die you continue to exist in an infinite amount of universes at the time you were conceived in this universe. Death is futile and life has no end only infinite new beginnings, you will be a fetus that was born and experienced youth in infinite repetition forever and eternally. On a side note, when you die in this universe you continue to exist in an infinite amount of parallel universes where what caused your death in this universe did not occur and we will also experience old age forever due to quantum immortality. Which is an entirely different yet additional reason to not fret about an illusory aging process. There is no greater irony to be found on the Internet than doubting the veracity of quantum mechanics when you are reading this message using a CPU that would not function without quantum entanglement.
So basically, you'd better live the rest of your life waiting for the time you'll be reborn and thus young again in order to experience videogames at their best. I'll think about that.
I only wish I'll be a nerd chick again and not a frivolous cheerleader with a hot body and perfect hair. Ew.
Well then, as a nerd you know what Schrödinger's cat is and why you are the cat.

Speaking of getting old, playing racing games can cause eye-strain or head-aches if the camera moves too fast. Or the AI car spins you out and your car starts spinning and you get dizzy from it. :/
Way I see things, on getting old is. Age is only a number. Make the best of your life, no matter your age. By counting your blessings not your problems. Because life isn't perfect. If you say, do, and think that way. Your life will be better, no matter how old you get.
That's a common brain fart(I've been known to whistle with my flatus in B minor) of mine if it is that I am to blame for your immortality when we are mortal after all (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9j%C3%A0_vu,) parallel universes decouple and are no longer in chronological sync beyond time(4th Dimension) in the 5th Dimension(hyperspace) seeing from a future and past perspective like the aliens that abducted the Reed family repeatedly is a historical fact. They might know more than we do you know, who knows?

There are 11 dimensions in our universe, only sensing up to the 4th then thinking that what they can't sense in 7 higher dimensions is all there is to experience in the cosmos. What are aliens experiencing?
