I think i have a real virus

yea well thats exactly what i plan on doing. check out how much data my Connection status says i sent after exactly 1 minute of connectivity. youll get a kick.

hahaha wawka wawka wawka, im gunna finish archiving everything, then archive my save games and plugins and all that crap, then BAM! goodbye everything and hello to another factory system restore (gotta love the little floppy disk they gave me) since system restore doesnt let me go back past the current month, i have to use the disk. as soon as i get done, im gunna download every single security update from update.microsoft.com, then BAM! last time i did that, it was months before i had to restore it again. although i wish there was a easier way to protect my computer. ok well on to the next subject, im done with spyware, so im moving to adware (is that the same as spamware?), so i downloaded adaware, and its deep scanning my pc as we speek, the last time a ran adaware (a few factory restores ago), it did something to bring up a error message everytime i started my computer, i didnt notice anything different, but if i get any ill post about what it says. anyway, does any1 know a good anti-spamware program or is adaware the same thing. anywho, if i can stop the problem hopefully i wont need to factory restore. anyway, heres my results of adaware.

Well only 47 stuff found, then removed. What other kind of program should i run? please tell me so. anyway after running adaware no change in "sent" size on connection status. PFFT! wait, i should uninstall bearshare, but all i do is download movies that just went into the theaters, bearshares supporter is Save! which is a spamware, but this wouldnt be the only thing that puts toward the 7k bits per second added to the "sent" size, theres something else, cuz i know Save! doesnt add THAT much per second, save only adds about an extra 500, but thats not bad.....there is something MAJOR in my computer and i need something to give spamware a swift kick to the bits (get it? bits? as in size, im changing nuts to bits lol).

well the "sent" size is starting to slow down a little, its only adding about 4k per second now which is half as much as it was before. and that was just after restart. but i still wanna get rid of at least 2k more "sent" size before i can say my pc is *ready-to-upload* cuz i wanna upload resident evil 3 using yousendit, cuz the spamware and shizzle is really slowing down my upload speed. :sigh: :sigh: :sigh: :sigh:

on topic, i saw someone post links for both spybot and spysweeper. what's the deal with that? do you really need two for spyware?

I got Spy Sweeper (one year free with the comp) and AVG (30 day trial, if anyone has a Reg Key for the full version, PM it my way! :)), but i'm about to go grab Ad-Aware later today. good prog, that adaware

Yeah, because I shit myself when I had both updated versions, but one found spyware that the other didn't. Not all spyware scanners are the same.

That network usage is 100% normal. Take a chill pill, aswell as my slap behind the head for not listening to me earlier. In anyway, it's always good to format once in a while.

anyway, im still laggy in my text based rpg i play (www.rotox.net, if you sign up, use 2370 as referral id) and it tells me in the game how long it took to load the page, usually its .04 on my house page, but now its 1.0+ so thats not good. somethings is definitely lagging me. i mean i used to zip through pages in the game really quick. now its really laggy all the time. and when a certain person said p0rn much? i used to download it, but since me and my girl got back together she says i dont need porn to get off anymore since i got her *asians are sexy!* but anyway, now i only download movies and stuff like doom, which just came out, and when harry potter 4 comes out after a week or so ill download that, but thats all i ever download. ive removed all porn from my computer, which was 3000+ files of movies and around 5000 images. i had everything so to speak (except gay porn, im not like lagwagon :P, maybe les porn but thats it) anyway, downloads from like yousendit and rapidshare (rapidshare ROX!) is the only other thing i download, and the links are from you guys. the only reason my computer is being attacked, is because i didnt download any security update, except for the maliscous software remover, but thats it, cuz after so many security updates i download, when i press CTRL+ALT+DEL it shows a green box on the task bar next to the speaker icon, which is supposed to be the task manager, but it never comes up because of something. i dont know what is doing it though....if yall know why it does that, then ill be able to download the fix, and any security update so that i dont need to factory system restore my computer to get rid of spamware, spyware, adware, and virus's trojans etc. avast! is pretty good, it gave me the ip address and port of the sender, which i gave to my friend, cuz he likes to use sub7 on people but i dont let him use it on me. anyway, id like sum1 to tell me how to fix the little green box when i press CTRL+ALT+DEL so that i can fix it. if any1 knows how, post here or pm me, whichever you choose.

Format, re-install. Sometimes it's simply way easier.

you mean to do what i said i do every few months? factory restore? ill do that after im done burning all my games to discs if i have space. if not ill have to go out and buy more discs, cuz i dont wanna lose the games i got.
