- Case -
- Chieftec WX Bigtower (Black)
- 2 90x90mm system coolers
- Storage Mediums -
- Floppy drive (Black) :P
- Plextor 20/10/40 + DVD player (Black)
- DVD+/- Rewriter 4/2.4/12 (Black)
- 2 HDD 120Gb 7200rpm 8MBcache IDE + Coolers
- Mobo and the rest -
- 2 DDRAM 512Mb PC3200 400MHz
- Asus MB P4C800 Deluxe Intel P4 DDR
- Intel Pentium4 2.8GHz 800MHz
- Zalman CNPS 5700D P4 cooler
- Creative SB Audigy II
- Asus V9900 FX5800 TD 128Mb
- 17" TFT-LCD monitor
This'll probally change though, seeing how i'm at 60% of the money that'll cost, and by the time i have the money new stuff may be developed.
You might want to change that FX5800 to an FX5900. Everything else looks good, though, Ace. Here is the PC I am building for my friend:
Asus P4P800 800Mhz FSB w/ Springdale 865PE chipset & ICH5R
Intel Pentium 4 3.0CGHz 512k 800 MHz FSB (HT enabled)
Corsair 512MB DDR400 (PC3200)
Western Digital 180GB HDD w/ 8MB cache
ATI All-in-Wonder 9700 Pro
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum
Sony DRU500-A DVD-R/RW & DVD+R/RW
Plextor 48x CD-RW
Falcon Midtower case w/ sidepanel window and LED interface
Antec Trupower 450Watt PSU
Blue Neon Light
2x 90mm case fans
Thermaltake Dragon HSF
Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
Wireless LAN using 802.11g Wi-Fi standard accessing a cable modem
Total: $2200
Anyway, the system will blow the pants off of everyone of yours, including mine and Vio's. The core system itself without the WLAN and Plextor CD-RW drive is less than $1800. And, who knows, I might decide to change the chipset to Canterwood and get a more expensive Asus board or maybe go with Abit's offering. The monitor is not listed because he will be using his HD-ready Sony flat panel TV with 720p resolution.
P.S. We only decided to go with the All-in-Wonder because he wanted the PC to be integrated with his home theatre and act as a PVR. He could have easily afforded ATI's Radeon 9800 Pro (256MB version) if he had wanted to.
I probally will, but i don't have the money yet so anything i had on that list might be changed once i do, seeing how it'll take me a while to get the money.Quote:

What the heck are ypu playing dude. You dont need all that or maybe you're just a rich boy with tons of money, but you dont know how to start your machine:D
Time to nit pick some more  I personally would have gone for a 21" CRT instead of a 19" LCD if you would have the desk space, even w/ the fastest LCDs it is still better w/ CRT, I never trust 52x burners, they spin too fast, that's how you can end up w/ exploding CD drives, even Plextor doesn't trust it at that speed and requires that u unlock the drive to push to full 52x. I don't see why u need the jazz drive when u have a DVD burner, u probably could have saved a little w/ that. Another thing I would drop is the wireless keyboard mouse, even if you have a lot of open space, unless you hook your computer up to a TV it won't be all that useful, the slower speeds of the wireless signals can also be a hassle, unless it's one of the new Logitech MX mice :drool:Quote:
