No. Most of my friends are guys. Um..it's just your situation sounds awkward. You can still be friends with her, just weird. Let me just say this....I've been in some sticky situations myself, and I know it isn't pleasant. That's all I'm saying.
I think in general the best friends are those of your own gender.
Much prefer females as friends. :-/
I get along better with guys. I guess I'm a tomboy. I have some female friends, but guy friends don't backstab you. Not usually.
