I guess I should've said "my bitches" instead of "my girls".
Ugh. When you don't play their games until later in life, the translations are unacceptable without the nostalgia factor. Growlanser and Arc The Lad were good, but I played some of their Genesis/PCE stuff a few years ago, and was filled with disgust.Quote:

Plans for the evening were cancelled. Like always.
Don't know why I bother trying to set something up anymore.
Gonna go do laundry and eat munchies while watching various hockey games.
Oh, and the Oilers lost again. 1-6-1 now. ;_;
Class is in session.
This is incorrect. "wat" is not a word. The correct way to type this would be "what". There is also no punctuation, so I can't tell if it's a question or statement.
However, since the word is used alone, I will infer this to be a question. In that respect, you should use "What?"

Finally figured out my Dads computers no internet connection problem, freakin on board ethernet port died , glad it has another in a spare slot
Yeah, since I can't read Japanese. I can't really tell how accurate WD's translations actually are compared to their original Japanese counterparts. Though having played quite a few WD releases at their time of release. I do have a fair bit of nostalgia attached to them. I don't know how old you are. Though I'm sure if I were younger and not played the original Sega CD releases of Lunar 1 & 2 when they were released. I'm sure I'd be pretty underwhelmed myself. Playing them when they were new though, was an awesome experience.
Nothing of that caliber had really been released at that time in the US. Plus there were few quality RPGs released for the Genesis in the US. With only a handful of good RPGs to pick from. Lunar, Lunar 2, and to a lesser extent Vay. Stood head and shoulders above the rest.
Their PCE releases I have no opinion on. Seeing as how I never owned a TG-16 as a kid. Or really played any of their releases on that platform at all.

Red Wings 5-2? I can agree with that.
Goddamn we support some shitty teams. :lol
Lots of talk about us getting rid of Dubnyk right now. I'm curious to see how much it will cost us, especially since there isn't much in the goalie market right now. :(

How is everyone?
Deviating somewhat from the original doesn't bother me, as direct translations are. . . well, NES games. It's all the out-of-place meme inserts that destroy the experience for me. Exile Wicked Phenomenon had an MST3K reference. That's part awesome, seeing how much I loved MST3K as a kid. . . but it's also awful, because WHY THE HELL WOULD SOMEBODY IN 12 CENTURY BAGHDAD BE WATCHING MST3K?! There was also an Elvis reference in Albert Odyssey, a Pepto Bismol reference in one of the Lunars and a bunch more I can't think of right now.
Also, they sometimes tweaked damage values to make games more challenging, but usually botched it, because the original companies had to do the insertion; Popful Mail is needlessly difficult, and Exile Wicked Phenomenon is largely considered impossible to beat.
As for age. . . I'll be 31 on Saturday. :(
next time somebody asks me the difference between existentialism and nihilism, I'm not going to quote Sartre. . . the answer is 30.
sports talk that isn't kendo.

I probably messed up the grammar, but I think Gare or Elin would get the message.
Bye,Ikusagami.
I was so stoked for the start of this season. We made a lot of changes in the off-season that all make us better on paper. But we can't seem to win anything right now. :( It's really infuriating. I still watch out to support and because I generally just like watching hockey, but it's hard to get too excited about the games anymore. I've even stopped wearing my Oilers hat around town lately. Too depressing. (Also, it's filthy and I need to buy a new one).

I corrected it.:muhaha:
