If you ever have to live on a budget of $40 a month, you'll understand. I used to take a group of people to Red Lobster (and occasionally Onion Garden) every week, and some of them were jackass enough to *surprise* bring random friends I didn't know along to exploit my generosity. So now that I have to save for over a month if I want a new game (that's not including the indulgence of alcohol and cheeseburgers), I won't bat an eye at saving a precious $5. As any stripper will tell you, those fuckers add up.

I had a friend who would buy thousands of dollars of Chinese/Korean imports, and then pirate them without opening them, because Chinese games are notorious for malicious DRM.

Eh, I guess I shouldn't judge. We all have our circumstances.

I'm often put off by the holy crusaders who spit on every single pirate ever and view them as scum to be executed. In a way you can understand where they're coming from because there are people who take pride in piracy and spit on those that won't do so (for whatever reason. I told a friend of mine I buy games on Steam and he laughed :wacko: ), which equally makes me shake my head. But sometimes I wish people could tone down their RIGHTEOUS FURY a little bit.
