Well, AC is pretty shit, yes. Or rather, mediocre and repetitive with nothing to do. AC2, on the other hand, was actually pretty cool. Haven't played the rest. But I'm guessing you'll need to play all the games up to Revelations to make sense of the plot. I mean, the first game ended on a stupid cliffhanger. So did the second. I'm seeing a pattern here.
