I think I might look at getting a 500 when things are sorted out and I'm settled next year. I never had an Amiga but some of my friends did so that's where all my nostalgia for them comes from.
And old computers > old consoles to me. That's just the way it is.
After a fair bit of tracking down, finally found a good quality copy of the Scratches OST, Uploading it now and posting it :D
600 and 1200.
600 requires a Kickstart chip upgrade as the default one either doesn't support a hard drive or only supports 40MB of a hard drive. Most eBay sellers with CF cards can include the latest Kickstart chip with it so you can utilise all 4GB. They also always come with like 2000+ games on there ready to be played as well.
But on a 600 you need 2MB of RAM as the 1MB inside of it isn't enough for WHDLoad. :-/
>Insert Batman the Movie tape into C64
>Type Load
>Ocean loader music starts playing

And yeah the 600 is a smaller 500+, but it has an onboard ATA controller. 500+ doesn't.
Also has PCMCIA in built too.
