I always used to spec out and build my own desktop computers. They worked out a lot cheaper and I know I got far better quality components than if I'd bought one from a major company. They always, ALWAYS cheap out on the essential stuff like power supplies and motherboards...

I actually just had a buddy get screwed by not having a decent enough power supply to run his new vidcard (he has some stupid HP futureshop dealio) Man is he pissed after spending the money on the card. I laughed. I mean he could always try......then I'll laugh again.
