But ∀kashicverse - Malicious Wake is friggin A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Already gave my entire morning to it.
The shield allows me to take some damage rather than just watching myself blow up continuously like in most bullethells, and rather than the boring old bombs, there's a plethora of badass special moves you can use with d-pad combos, making it both varied and strategic.
And the abstract aesthetics and immersive beat really suck you in.
For an indie game, I think I like this more than Ikaruga and Psyvariar 2.
And completely random comment: I recently learned Final Fantasy XIII 2 was co-developed by Tri-Ace. Suddenly, I give a damn.
That's more of a project, or a game I play when I feel tired and want to relax in bed with my Vita. It's still on going. But I've not made any progress since finding out I need the harp.Quote:

Got back into Last Ranker, getting near the end of the game now (I think) and it's still very light on plot and character development. Give Ren more screen time dammit! :wacko: On the bright side the battle system and the soundtrack are pretty cool.
