Yeah, going through the first Cloud/Sephiroth flashback scene.

I've been playing GTA V.
After over a month and 60+ hours, I had to drop the horrendous piece of horrid filth that is Wander Wonder, because the Holy Tree is evidently IM-FREAKING-POSSIBLE to get through. The game was really great at times, being Zelda meets Landstalker, but to have spent so much time on all those convoluted puzzles just to finally be thwarted by an evident dead-end dungeon with no way to progress. . . so much rage. I could have beaten two non-infuriating games in the time I spent just trying to figure out how to proceed. :explode:
Sooo, I'm now playing Megami no Ken (also by Compile), the prelude to the Devil Force Series. It's better than I expected from one of the earliest TRPGs.
I thought it would be frustratingly difficult, given that most characters only take two hits to die, and enemies counter-attack, but when playing defensively you can set up a good rotation for tackling them systematically.
And the maps give a lot of tactical freedom. The second battle started beside a pond, giving the choice to flank the enemy to the north, or attack them across a bridge from the south--I seized the bottleneck and established enfilade with my archer and magic user, whittling down the brutes before charging across to clean up the refuse.
....And there's a drunken bar brawl. . . with rather comical attack animations.
What everyone else in the world playing...GTA V.
So far I really don't care for the Franklin story. Michael and Trevor are far more interesting.
Mars: War Logs.
Volt White 2
I'm emuating Final Fantasy 8, I'm enjoying it thus far.
Some shitty old JRPGs.
Last one was probably Vay. It's as bad as I remember it. Lulzorz.
