Try again with the dvd, but like I said earlier, just put the bare minimum on...Xbox c drive and eeprom. I'm not sure if it'll work though...
You can do the rest later.

I am gonna take a pic this time cos I know none of you believe the error I'm getting.
Before I go back into it though...
It said something on the first screen when loading Linux, that I need to type /something (don't remember what)
When I type that, I get the screen asking if the drive is my primary master. I typed 'yes' and I then get a shit load of y's.
It's the same guide I posted the other night.

^ I was supposed to see this? Well I didn't.
Unlocked it. Erm, Idk I was just following a guide. I've no idea what I'm supposed to do...
I think having the hard drive and dvd-rw on seperate IDE cables was something I did wrong..
Step by step.
Make the bootable cd as per the tut.
Connect your Xbox ide cable to the primary ide on your pc and cd/dvd drive as primary slave.
Set your pc to boot from cd.
You should then be able to follow the rest of the tut. If you can't, buy some cd's and try again. It does work, I have used it on my own Xbox as well as other people's.
