If I were a Gym Leader or Elite Four Trainer, I'd specialize in Electric and Ice Pokémon.

Dude why? If you repartition your whole drive to FAT32 you can run the games as ISOs. Would take a whole helluva less time than converting all those 4 GB games imo.
And I'm pretty sure you can run ISOs on a WBFS partition anyways....

Then the DS lite came out.

I'm thinking about building one of these.

Except I'll probably fab a wooden enclosure. Make it look more like a actual usable coffee table. And use less gaudy joysticks. Maybe make the enclosure in a way where I can hide the controls when not in use.
