Frets on Fire is shit.

You can't play Guitar Hero with the keyboard. It takes every ounce of fun out of the game.

Guitar Hero isn't about the songlists, it's about the feel of standing there playing the songs on a stage. The point of Guitar Hero isn't to play fun songs, it's to forget that you're standing there like a cretin holding a tiny plastic guitar.

I find it fine using the keyboard. And the GH packs can be found on most torrent sites.

The torrent I got has all three GH packs in one torrent. It's going at about 40kbps at the moment.

The controls are fine, I guess. Not playing it on the PC doesn't give me anything to compare it to. :shrug:

L and R triggers are the Orange/Blue portals, right shoulder is pick up/drop, X is action, and pressing the left thumbstick is crouch/stand.

I think that's everything...

Heh, I was just curios about how the translation from mouse to joypad would work out. This game seemed pretty damn dependent on it :P

Only time I ever find myself looking for keys is when I need to hit a F key, and that's only to make sure I have the right one, I swapped keyboards to one that has the F keys to close together :wacko: The usual layout for people for me is

I couldn't stand that o_O

I guess I've been gaming on consoles too long to ever really enjoy PC gaming. Bioshock is an awesome game, but I dislike having to remember all the specific keys for it, and (apparently) you can't map a controller to it...easily anyway.
