Yeah, there are too many tools for it to be super viable, that's not to say that it wouldn't be fun at worst you could try to beat down with some other soft combo.

I started playing around Fifth Edition. After they got rid of banding, I felt the game was going down the shitter and becoming another Yugioh. Current makers of the game still won't admit they are are making cards that are overpowered compared to previous blocks (I'm talking cards from 10 years ago to now). I believe the phrase is call 'power creep'. The latest edition of cards I have are from the Urza's Block.
Edit: Also when they got rid of mana burn, it killed almost all of my strategies. Now when I play with friends, we play only all commons. It was too easy to make "I Win" decks with access to the uncommons and rares to the point it became a game of who drew their I Win card first. Whenever a game becomes that basic, I can't play it.
Wow, a bot copied my text.

I blame Magic the Gathering for this. Stupid paper crack stealing all of my money.
I'm convinced. Modern is the best format right now.
8th Edition is the oldest legal set. So the card pool isn't crazy dumb like Legacy. The bannings are for the most part just right. Aggro Loam won the Pro Tour that just happened. There are about 7 decks that are top tier. I just tested a mono-blue that wasn't faeries. I liked it.
It had Vendi Clique ofc, but not dedicated. It's mostly a shackles deck.
Legacy always pulls me back. I just threw together some enchantment nonsense.
Enchantments vs Thopter Sword Control...WHAT A FAST MATCH-UP THAT WAS!!! :dread:
