Think I might've got Resident Evil Saturn2PS4 fpkg working... sorta? :pwacko:

FMV's are ok, been playing a bit and inventory works ok, sound seems ok so far... but definitely not perfect...

Bad stuff atm is:
Options via start screen of game is basically blank. I mean there's a background image but nothing else really.
Chris/Jill select screen is fine.
Character graphics glitches in game, just kinda flickering in small spots not the whole thing going crazy thank God. Your character and also others.
Door loading screens have some visual glitches.

Game saves ok, might see if I can play around with the config file some more to fix this, but idk tbh.
Everything I've read everywhere says most people trying to get this working only had it hard crash just after the intro. I've seen the start options screen being mentioned as blank once before so I wasn't surprised to see that :lol
But yeah, maybe some other people have got this far messing with the config... but I can't see any posts anywhere about it, so either the info is locked behind a login or it's on social media. gbatemp thread has at least a couple of guys mention that it hard crashes (in a Switch injection thread), one guy couldn't even get past the intro RE splash screen (which is what happens if you try any of the existing standard or modded configs floating around).

I used a "full compatibility" config from Switch injections as a base for this... then edited a bunch of stuff in there. Quite a lot actually.
I can try a few more tweaks in there to see if I can make it even better... but this has taken me 2 days :lol
Well I did convert some other games (ones that are known to work but I couldn't find downloads, so I converted them myself)... plus the usually chores and shit irl.

Maybe I should try converting Biohazard Saturn :thot: Pretty sure heads stay lying around in that so it's kinda different to the western versions.

been playing a game called psychotoxic lately after I hit a wall in western outlaw(which is fine the game is quite dull). psychotoxic isn't bad(though I had to use an invisibility cheat to finish the airport level) health pickups are fairly scarce in most levels or none at all stealth is broken and silenced weapons feel pointless.
there's also a known bug that breaks video during cutscenes so you only have audio and no video which sucks cause that's a big part of the story line.

Can you skip the cutscene? Sometimes with games that have glitches like that skipping the cutscene can prevent the glitch.

you can but the bug has to due with an external video codec that you have to install with the game.

no. I seen something about the cut scenes but now I can't seem to find it just a mention about starforce drm not working on newer windows.

Starforce? Shit dude, I thought that was rootkit kinda stuff which is why it's blocked on newer os.

You could install a codec pack, ie. K-Lite, and see if letting that handle playback would fix it.
