I'm currently getting (and watching) tenchi muyo, the original series, and I'm planning to get the tv series "tenchi universe" too. so far I like it,not as much as love hina or ah my goddess, but I like it. (I don't know how the series end, don't tell me,but I really hope he chooses ryoko!)
Watching Toward the Terra
Started with Kimikiss recently and it seems quite ok so far. Also planning on watching Macross Frontier (the new Macross series) and Ef - A Tale Of Memories due to the lack of worthwhile new series.
Looks like adult swim is going to be showing Ghost in the Shell from the very beginning again, so I'm currently watching that.
Im currently watching Jigoku Shoujo (1st series)
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I started watching FLCL again. Hopefully this time I'll be able to finish the series.
ef - A Tale Of Memories.
Interesting. Definitely a surprise for me.. Initially, I was thrown off by the character designs and art style because, how can I say this.. they were too plastic-y and over-polished, sort of in Black Cat kind of way. But ef has enough merit to allow me to look past that. Very surreal in presentation and pretty solid storyline and character interaction. Fans of Evangelion episode 25 - 26 will love this.
Just finished getting every episode of Naruto, so on to episode #1 I suppose. And currently up to date on the the new Naruto series. Got a lot to watch.
Finished watching School Days (yes, I actually like the ending. I'm a sick fuck at heart). Not sure what to watch next since I'm almost out of bandwidth for the month and only have Utena (reality does not want me watching this. Every time I get started, something comes up after the first half-dozen episodes) and a bunch of first episodes left unwatched.
Might snag Murder Princess to watch while I wait for my download limit to reset itself.
At first I admit that I disliked the ending, and I still do a bit, but less than before, though, I liked more the other bad ending of the game, to me the anime ending was a bit rushed and I found the game one more depressing.
I'm still watching BECK, I'm about by the middle, and I have left Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle on hold with School Rumble, but I have Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in the torrent list, so I'll finish watching Beck while it finishes downloading.
I didn't knew anything about it and then bam, crazy ending happens. :lol On the other hand, if I watch Higurashi at least I'd know what I'm watching and what is about. :P
I haven't played it neither, but I lost a bookmark of some page that had every ending with subs and stuff. I'm still trying to find it. >__> The harem ending, while absurd (or not, who knows. :P ) was cool.
goshuushou-sama ninomiya-kun, and ouran highschool host club...
pita-ten, rizelmine, and I just finished fruits basket... after the manga it was a bit of a let down...
Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Boru Duragon (Blue Dragon)
If black humour and a dash of absurdity is your thing, then definitely.
If you aren't a fan of comedies in general or morbid ones in particular, then no.
Let's see..
Recently started with Persona Trinity Soul, True Tears and Gunslinger Girl II.
Persona Trinity Soul looks promising judging from the first episode. I'm yet to play the game so I've no idea how faithful it is to the game. It appears to be the typical action series of this season (think Darker Than Black/Night Head Genesis.) Probably will watch it provided it doesn't turn out to be just another shounen series.
I don't usually watch these kind of shows, but ever since Honey & Clover, Nodaime Cantabile and Kimikiss I've been mildly interested. True Tears is the candidate for this season. The first episode kind of reminded me of Air and that alone is a good enough compliment. Looks interesting and has a couple of interesting characters. Will probably keep watching it until the storyline sinks beyond the absurdity line.
Now, Gunslinger Girl II is a huge flop. The majesty of the first season and franchise will be severely hurt thanks to this abomination. Everything the first season built was ruined by a single episode. Gone is the atmosphere, excellent animation and drama. The studio behind this is the studio that did Mushishi, so I had some hopes.. but they screwed this up badly. I'll follow a couple more episodes with hopes things will get better, but I'm really skeptic.
I just finished The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... anyone know any other anime that's similar?
Finished watching BECK and holy crap, I'll never forget about it, it wasn't just another anime for me, it motivated me greatly, it was just way too awesome.
I downloaded an episode of Shigofumi, from which I don't know anything but I saw it had lots of seeders and few leechers. That's how I first knew about Death Note actually.
Try to get it off of VeohTV BETA... the fansubs, the dubbed versions are warez files and I can't tell you to get them off of Veoh. It's all streaming video, and it's not broken-up.
I'm watching Cromartie High School. @_@
Tomorrow's a holiday, so I'm going to do a marathon viewing of the new Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series :)
gundam 00 for now
Checking out new shows here and there, as I have time and the mood for it, however so far nothing extraordinary on my radar.:( So right now it's only following the sequel to Zetsubo Sensei for me. Though it's starting to loose its appeal slowly (the beginning of episode 2 - what the hell o__O?!)
I am watching Lucky Star, what a Hilarious anime it is!
Watching Gintama~!
Just finished watching Elfen Lied. Liked it very much, somehow it reminded me of Chobits. And the main theme is so sad and beautiful...
