That having been said, I dated a girl in Texas for a long while. (Corpus) Went there to visit her, had to cut the trip SHORT, sadly; I was outta that place like a BOLT...even though (apparently?) Corpus is a major city, I felt like I had stepped back in time 100 years...in terms of general over-all mindsets...y-i-k-e-s.

Not backreading 20 pages, just replying to this one that was in direct reply to mine.

Indeed, those are the ones I'm talking about. Even though all of that's pretty much true, people bitch about it constantly.

As for Corpus, it's... a tourist city really. Dallas, Austin, and Houston are probably the only real major cities. Fort Worth is a glorified farm trading post and San Antonio is all about BUY OUR MINIATURE ALAMOS! WALK THE RIVERWALK! Dallas's only real tourist point is the Grassy Knoll and the JFK museum across the street in the book depository that was supposedly the location of the shooter.

Already had one kid get arrested on my floor for drinking and his roommate went and got him out of jail, another kid received a noise complaint from the 2 floors adjacent to ours for blasting his music, and already had someone puke on the floor in the bathroom....
