Hello again EP. For anybody who remembers I'm a strange American boy who likes to count backwards and deliver terrible puns at the best opportunity  found an old bookmark so thought I'd pop back in (and nothing of value was gained that day).
TL ; DR,
Sup?
HI Verb.Welcome to EP. Unfortunately, the counting backwards thread is gone, but you're welcome in the hangout.
Thanks :)
And pretty sure it was the same SN, used to have an avatar with a cat with a sniper rifle. But yeah usually stuck to the hangouts mostly and was sporadic at posting at that...
Only things I can really remember being memorable was really pissing off a religious troll a few times by calling him out on some bs and talking to a lot of Canadians
But don't really see many familiar SNs anymore so I'll just have to show off my incredible awesomeness and humility again :D
You post in the guess the game thread, so I totally like you.
You should be here always. Always.
Scared off yet? No? Welcome back!
Think I remember the cat with a sniper rifle thing but other than that I don't think we posted on the same threads...
Welcome back regardless though :)
Probably should have posted here first. :-/
Old lurker, new poster. Thought I'd try my hand atsocialismbeing social upon realizing there's some love for classic foreign gaming here.
Most people these days seem to think it's all about modern games. Pfft. I took up Japanese because I'd rather play more games from the 90s than the best next gen stuff.
Other than that: I'm a complete nerd. In every sense of the term.
Welcome to the forums
Myself I enjoy games from most decades, mostly RPG but not exclusivly, though I don't know any Japanese so for the few Jap games I have played have had translations done by 3rd parties, so can be played in english, some of the translations I have played are re-translations as well that are fan based so should be more accurate than the original English release
Welcome and I forgive you for not post here first haha :P
I'm totally agree with you and Zorlon, I enjoy new games and old ones as well but I kinda identify myself with the older ones a bit more. Atm I'm playing Front Mission 3, the old Resident Evil's and Chrono Cross, those are really great and enjoyable games (at least for me) :)
Enjoy the forums and have a nice time.
Cheers!
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, there are plenty of modern games that interest me. . . I just find 16-64 bit more appealing. I have a list of over a dozen PS3 games I want to play, eventually. . . but I keep defaulting to the oldies, almost against my will.
Hell, the new GTA is out today, isn't it? And I'm more excited about the Fantasia Sango games I just got! (and I don't even know Chinese!) And even those are more modern than what I usually play.
And who needs a PS4 or XBoxOne when you've got a DOS backlog?! *retreats into stoneage*
I guess it's the nostalgia of when I played games for childhood escapism rather than just an adult hobby. Of course, it doesn't help matters that modern big-game-companies are largely becoming gimmickhungry franchising sellouts.
