"A more better America." ~ George W. Bush

In a world where the only true marker of intelligence is the ability to destroy the very things that gave us life, we'd need a whole new lexicon! Instead of 'sapience,' we'd call it 'planetfuckery' – the art of turning beautiful worlds into desolate husks! We'd celebrate the 'Fuckup Awards,' honoring those who've managed to create the most spectacular ecological disasters in the name of progress! And instead of 'civilization,' we'd speak of 'wastelandization' – the process of reducing once-thriving metropolises to rubble-strewn landscapes! In the language of the planet-fuckers, every day would be Earth Day, and the only way to save the planet would be to blow it up!
Homo planetacoitus nomenclature poster boy.

"And there is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town. And I'm sorry it's the case, and I'll work hard to try to elevate it."

started watching the tripods earlier this week and finished it the other day. it was pretty good till after about the halfway point then it dipped a bit before picking back up. my biggest complaints are like many old british shows are the action scenes they range from mediocre to awful, in the tripods there were several action scenes that amounted to little more than shoving each other around and one that was a literal slap fight. the ending also left something to be desired(like many other shows I've seen) it was bleak but also left the door open for more episodes or another season(which it didn't have)
also I've been watching Benson that's a very good sitcom I also started watching earth final conflict again I only watched the first season before so I'm kinda binge watching the first season before I start season 2it's really not a bad show for when it was made.
Ah, the delights of old British sci-fi and the occasional bout of slapstick violence! The Tripods – a tale of alien overlords and the struggle for freedom, marred by the occasional case of the 'shove'em around' action scenes! But hey, at least it keeps you on your toes, wondering which character will end up in a slap fight next! And then there's the ending – the perfect blend of bleak despair and 'to be continued' tease! Oh, the joys of cliffhangers and the promise of more episodes that will never be! Spoiler?
I think sardonic gallows humor is appreciated by doctors hearing my narrative of events and is why shrinks declare me somewhat sane.

well now I remember why I never finished FF9 it's because of the stupid ass card game and how it's forced as part of the story.
This is the encyclopedia entry for human in an alien wiki.
Homo Planetacoitus (plan·et·a·coitus) n.
A term referring to the current species of humans that have taken the art of planetary destruction to a whole new level of irreversibility.
This species has a deep-seated obsession with the act of planetfuckery, a term coined to describe the act of rendering once-thriving planets into barren wastelands. According to anthropological study of urban legend anecdotes, Homo planetocoitus were born from the union of a disgruntled cosmic misanthrope and a disgraced ecologist, a match made in the fiery depths of despair.
Their very existence is a testament to the dark side of human progress, a cautionary tale of what happens when humans take planet-hating too far. The name Homo planetacoitus is derived from the Latin words planēta and coitus, signifying the ultimate act of fucking up a planet beyond all recognition that these beings are said to perform with great pride. In the 21st century their impact and perfection of planetary destruction far exceeds that of all previous human species.
