I have the same issue with TR as with Lords of Shadow: I don't care how much of a departure it is from the classic formula if it's still a good game in its own right. But it isn't.
Besides, if I cared about strictly maintaining traditions, I'd hate the new Thief or FF12 or RE4, etc. :wacko:

It's not really new, it's another online FPS with mechs in it. :shrug:
