I hated Spanish during grade school.
So glad I changed to French.
Although, I think going with Chinese might help with Kanji in Jap

I've never studied French, but the pronunciation alone makes it seems like a hundred times worse than French.
Yeah, if you already know Chinese. But if you want to study Japanese, just study Japanese.
Sounds about right.
Kinda sorta. Chinese Simplified, Kanji, and Hanja all took different paths from Chinese Traditional. It can help due to some similarity owing to their common origins, but learning modern Chinese will teach you Simplified, which will tend to vary from Kanji in all but the most simple ways. It's a bit like how French speakers typically find learning Spanish and Italian easier than Russian or Xhosa.
I've heard it's extremely easy for native Italian speakers to pick up Spanish. I wouldn't know though obviously.

Similarly, people say Japanese is one of the hardest languages in the world, but I've had the least trouble with it out of any of the languages I've studied because of how motivated I was. I'm sure there are languages that are, objectively speaking, more or less complex than others, but mostly it's just a question of being willing to put in the hours. ^_^
Chicken sammich.
oh hey inferno you never did get back to me when i linked you to the official belkin site with there routers :P
http://www.belkin.com/networking/
reason why i warned you not to get one was because i had one of there wireless routers and it died like after 3 months
Oh. Why link me to them if they're shite then? I'm obviously not buying a Belkin, and my router's a D-link. :S
