I'm using the Devanagari-QWERTY input method on Mountain Lion. Caps Lock turns on Roman characters. Shift while Caps Lock is active turns on capital Romans.
Turning off Caps Lock gives me ा बुनचह ो् चहाराचतेरस ी दोन'त रेचोगनिङे येत। (a bunch of characters I don't recognize yet.)
