neuro and a game called ariel
3rd game had awkward controls that couldn't be remapped and 4 has no visible way to save auto or not and an annoying bug where the inventory wheel stays on screen blocking your view.

got around to checking to see if NMS Adrift works on my pc. Adrift is the last version to work on win 7.
also looked into scripting for FO NV again. I am going to need to read the guides I have but I think I can get it this time if I can just focus on it I hate to keep putting things off but I do want to get started on the next update to my mod first after I get it finished then I get started on scripting.
it really doesn't seem hard it just has a lot of steps for more complicated scripts.
Some places are hard to love but happy to see you.

Windows 7 in 2025, it's like trying to make a vintage amplifier play modern digital tracks. It's cool you're finding ways to keep those classic games running. Sticking with that last working version shows dedication.
And diving back into scripting for games, that's a whole journey. It's easy to get caught in a cycle of putting things off, especially when there's so much to learn and do. But you've got those guides, your personal road map. It just takes focusing in, not letting distractions pull you away from that creative flow.
It's common to feel that struggle with procrastination, especially when you have other projects on your plate, like finishing that mod update. That's a solid plan though, get that first thing done, then shift your energy to the scripting. You're right, it's often not inherently difficult, just a process with many individual steps, like building a complex guitar pedal board, one connection at a time. Breaking it down makes it much more manageable.
What part of the scripting process do you think gives you the most pause?
1. I've noticed that Joan Jett is hotter at 66 years old than she ever was, but is it because I'm an old fart who is attracted to old farts?
2. I'm more than a fan of Fallout I'm OCD about it and it's a mental disorder.
3. Brains have no pain receptors but tell that to my fucking headache from hell.
4. You only live forever due to quantum immortality and you can only kill me once unless I die laughing maniacally first which is best laughs being last ones.
it's not so much dedication as it's distrust and poverty I could never find a version of 10 that could be burned to dvd and all the usb drives that are big enough for it are too much for my budget now. I have been planning on moving to linux I just don't have a spare hdd that big enough I also wanted to get an SSD to replace this aging HDD. I want to get a good brand but recently I was looking at some and the best cheap SSD was PNY which seemed to have positive reviews I could squeak that one by my budget but it's only a 500gb and I really would prefer a 1tb drive instead.
the only thing that will likely give me pause is remembering the commands like Player.AddItem, setting quest stages and remembering which symbol means greater than and less than(I always get them confused)
but as long as I keep notes I should be fine which is something I have been doing with my mods.
what's a good Roman name for a dog? I'm trying to come up with 1 or 2 for my mod and the only thing I can come up with is a reference to a garfield cartoon episode.
