Oh ok, C is just on this side of old then.
The local version of that had a GTi (or something) edition. Nice little car, and reasonably quick.
Although I think the motor is one of those ones that bends valves if you throw a timing belt (interference design).
I love lana del rey soooo much
B's are everywhere here bro.
The four doors are cheap as chips, I could've got a spare for mum's a little while ago that needed a head rebuild (cooked due to blown radiator).
But I gave it a miss...I know a dude that removes cars for free and he has a few if I need parts (or even a whole car for that matter).
No need to have wrecks sitting on my property if they can be elsewhere :lol
Don't think I've ever seen a 1 litre here.
The B 1.4's have a belt.
But the C GTi has a twin cam...not sure what size. Probably 1.8 or something like that
Ah, ok...after checking wiki it's the SRi:
Quote:
Holden also imported the SRi version with the 1.8L Astra motor and uprated sports suspension including traction control, ABS brakes, a better tyre/wheel combination and Irmscher body kit to produce a "baby hot hatch" Barina.
The SRI over here is a 1.4 :lol
Corsa C SRI is 1.4 as far as I know.
Corsa B GSI is 1.4 as far as I know too.
I don't know of anything over 1.4 unless it's a 1.7TD :-/
Well I know there is a hot C version here.
Wiki has an ecotec 1.8l engine listed as being for the GSi. Which sounds right because the C I'm thinking of is pretty zippy.
Never heard of a B hot hatch, it must be the C (engine is for 2000–2003).
The turbo diesel...not sure if we even got that shit here. Putting that it a hatch wouldn't make it hot
Biggest UK Corsa Bs:
1.6 L C16XE I4 (petrol)
1.6 L X16XE I4 (petrol)
1.5 L Isuzu I4 diesel
1.7 L Isuzu I4 diesel
Biggest UK Corsa Cs:
1.8 L X18XE I4 (petrol)
1.7 L DI I4 (diesel)
1.7 L DTI I4 (diesel)
1.7 L CDTI I4 (diesel)
I don't know about the 1.8 Corsa C, what is it a VXR? Or is it an SRI?
For the C's:
The 1.8 L X18XE I4 (petrol) is probably the GSi engine (around 124hp).
All of the diesels look shit, except maybe the CDTI (which is just under 100hp).
20-25hp can make a significant difference with small cars, I know from experience.
Plus diesels are all torque and not much power.
For the B's:
I think most if not all the cars here are just 1.4l...all of the ones I've looked at are single cam.
