MTG and such. I don't gamble, long story.
Actually it's a really short story but I don't want to tell it right now.
Well thanks :)
I do usually watch my grammar immensely. In that Steve situation I actually said I don't really care about my grammar on a public forum and then he got kind of mad since I had corrected him earlier and I believe that is what earned me that negative rep :lol
It is really bad right now, but in TTK it apparently does pretty well according to like 1 of the 3 Bungie employees that monitors reddit.
I tried MTG back in high school couldn't get into got into yugioh for awhile with a couple friends it was fun for a while only cause I was playing with friends. now I have a huge collection of cards that have been sitting in card sleeves in a 3 ring binder for years. so much wasted money :(
Yeah money is the reason I quit playing Magic competitively. I only play for fun now, and thus can spend w/e I feel like on it.
Magic is paper crack for me. I had "quit" many times before finally completely pulling the competitive plug a few years ago. I will sometimes fool around on cockatrice by loading up a competitive Legacy deck and slaughtering some people, but then the thought of spending $3,000+ on the deck quickly sobers up any thoughts of building said deck irl.
yeah I have enough expensive hobbies as it is. if I still had friends that played yugioh I might have been able to get back into without spending tons of money but now I've been trying to sell my collection. I actually should re-list it on CL and see if I can sell it this time around.
marvel trading cards used to be my "paper crack" but I haven't collected those since the 90's.
Yeah playing Magic competitively prevented me from having almost any fun money for anything else. At least it's super easy to cash out of Magic for at least acceptable value (unlike almost every other card game), though I wish I would have kept 1-2 copies of some better cards for EDH purposes.
I need to decide on what to do with my night so I don't end up like last night messing around online doing nothing then going to bed.
Oh definitely, it's the most popular tcg by a wide margin so stores know they have to offer good cash prices if they ever want to get in good cards. For instance CFB (a big store) sells Force of Will for $120 and buys them in at $70 cash. So way better than video game stores and such. Though with cards like Force you could easily sell 4 of them for $400 total locally-ish or on a Magic forum and have them sold within a day.
I remember you, shard, nem? tried to get me to play Magic. I spectated a match on cockatrice you guys were playing, I think I lasted 5 mins before I got out of there :lol
Yeah the truth is 90% (or more) of Magic cards are worthless bulk.
